Under the Sirens

Jessie's POV:

Once we had made it pretty far away, we slowed to a walk. "Im sorry for dragging you into that." Said Amanda between pants. "It's ok. We made it." I managed to get out, looking over my shoulder.

He hasn't followed us. Yet. "We should really go back home though." I continued. She nodded, and we parted ways. Despite my tiredness, I ran the whole way.

"Amanda is that you?" Called out my mom when I burst through the door. "Yeah." I called back, before heading into my bedroom.

I flopped onto my bed to catch my breath. Why had I let Amanda drag me into that? When I regained my breath, I did my homework, and tried to forget about earlier.

Late that night, I started to get ready for bed. When I went to close my curtains, I felt eyes on me. I peered out the window and saw a dark figure leaned back against a car across the street.

I was frozen for a moment, before I yanked te curtains closed, and dropped to my floor breathing hard. Eventually I gathered enough courage to look out the window. The car and the figure were gone.

I made sure my window was locked before closing the curtains again. I slid into bed, and lay with my eyes wide open. Maybe I had imagined the whole thing.

Harrys POV:

Im guessing she saw me by the way she slammed the curtains closed. I had to get out of here before she called the cops. I jumped into my car and sped off.

I shouldn't have come I know. But tonight was the last night of freedom and fresh air. I wished I could tell her so she too could enjoy it. I had been driving around, and was compelled to come visit.

She looked so happy. She didnt know what was happening tomorrow. Im glad she got to see her friend and her family today. Tomorrow everything would change.
