Half A Heart
Chapter Ten
Quin’s POV
I walked up to my best friend’s bedroom door and debated on walking in or not. What if things had gone horribly wrong and she made a mess of her room that I worked so hard on!? What if things had gone great and there were clothes all over the floor of the room that I had worked so hard on?
Either way, the room would be a mess, so I guess I had to brace myself.
“Holy… shit.” I breathed as soon as the door opened. They were in bed together! They made up!
Oh God. Unwanted images.
I shook the images out of my head as I entered the room and slowly sat down on the bed… maybe I shouldn’t have done that, given the previous night’s activities, but I couldn’t help myself. I wanted to get the perfect Snapchat. I took out my phone, opened the app, and quickly got the picture before sending it to Niall and the rest of the boys. It was about damn time.
I waited to talk to whoever woke up first, and was more than thankful that it was Liam.
He rolled over and wrapped one of his arms around my best friend before nuzzling closer to her and kissing her shoulder. “Aww.” I cooed and Liam’s head snapped in my direction before he groaned.
“What the hell are you doing in here?” He propped himself up on one of his shoulders and waited for me to explain.
“Well, I wanted to see if things went horribly wrong, or really, really well, so I decided to take a peek in and saw you two and thought ‘well, maybe just one Snapchat’.”
“You took a Snapchat?!” He whispered harshly and sat up, taking my mobile from my hands.
“It’s already sent.” I shrugged and took it from his grasp. Liam rolled his eyes and pulled the black and white duvet up his torso a bit more. “Anyway, onto the important stuff.” I leaned forward, looking him right in the eye. “Are you two back together?”
“What? No. Not yet.”
“Not yet?”
“No, not yet.” Liam raised an eyebrow at me.
“So my best friend is just a booty call, is she?”
“What? No!”
“Oh yeah? What about that other girl? Does she know about Melody?”
“Oh shit.” Liam went wide eyed.
“That’s what I thought. God, you’re a pig, you know that?”
“No, it’s not like that. She—“
“Liam?” We both turned to see Melody stirring from her sleep and I smiled as if nothing had just been said. “Good morning.” Melody smiled widely up at him. Damn, it must have been good.
“Good morning!” I interrupted before I got a morning show that I didn’t want.
“What the hell are you doing in here?!” Mels asked and pulled the duvet up to her chin.
“Oh, calm down. I was just chatting with my old pal, Liam.” I smiled innocently.
“Get out.”
“Fine.” I huffed and slid off the bed, closing the bedroom door behind me.
Melody’s POV
As soon as the door was shut behind Quin, I turned to Liam. “Well, good morning again.” I giggled as he turned to face me.
“Good morning, gorgeous.” He leaned down and gently pecked my lips before moving the covers away from his body and sitting up.
“Where are you going?” I sat up, holding the duvet over my naked chest.
“I’ve gotta find Jaymie.” Embarrassment flooded over me as I suddenly remembered the girl at the park.
“Oh my God.” I mumbled and suddenly felt very naked as Liam pulled his sweatpants back on. “Oh my God, oh my God.”
“What?”
“We… we had… and Jaymie… oh my God you left Jaymie at the park with Loki! That poor girl… you sick bastard!” I threw a pillow at him as my embarrassment became anger. “I can’t believe I didn’t think about that!”
“No! It’s not like that with her! She’s just a really good friend, I swear.”
“I swear on your grave if you’re lying to me, Liam James Payne—“
“Baby, calm down.” He assured me and placed his hands gently on my shoulders. “I’m not that kind of guy. You know that.” He gently pressed his lips to my forehead. “You stay in bed, and I’ll be right back.” I nodded in agreement. “Okay?”
“Okay.”
“Mels, please. You know I would never do that to you.” I didn’t say anything back. What if he was lying to me? “Melody.”
“Okay, whatever.”
“Melody Belle Scott.” I looked up at him after he said my full name. “She’s a lesbian.” The relief was overbearing, and I think the smile on my face gave it away. “I’ll be back. You stay there and don’t move. Don’t even think about putting on clothes.” The heat rushed to my cheeks as I watched him run out of the room. I quickly ran over to my dressers and grabbed my sexiest bra and panties before throwing them on and waiting for him back in bed.
Liam’s POV
“I am so sorry!” I yelled as soon as I walked into Jaymie’s apartment. “Melody and I got to arguing and stuff went down. I didn’t mean to abandon you and Loki.” I turned the corner and smiled apologetically at my friend.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did you get laid?” Jaymie asked as she handed me the dog leash, dog attached.
“Dude.”
“Come on. I did.”
“Dude!”
“You did. I can tell.” I sighed and apologized again before running out of her apartment and back to my car.

“So how’d things with Jaymie go at the park?” Niall asked the second I walked into my apartment.
“I’m gonna need the extra key I gave you in case of emergencies.” I let Loki off his leash so he could run around. “Good, I guess. But I’ve really got to go.” I’ve got a naked Melody waiting for me.
“You were seen with Melody yesterday.” Fuck!
“Let me see the article.”

MELODY AND LIAM SEEN HAVING A BIT OF A ROW AT THE PARK
Does it matter? THEY’RE BACK! PRAISE THE HEAVENS!
Who cares what the two were arguing about? Everyone’s been going crazy with the news of the two even being seen together! We know that we have.
(It may or may not have involved a bucket of chocolate ice cream and tears of joy.)
Liam was seen, not too much earlier with his blonde friend before bumping into the red head we all love, and Jaymie (who we’ve discovered is previously mentioned blonde friend) seemed to love seeing the two together as much as the rest of us have. She walked off with the adorable Loki, and watched the two as she did so.
Mels and the Paynis talked for a total of five minutes before our beloved ginger lady friend got into her car and drove off, and not long after, Mr. Paynis decided to follow her.
Oo la, la! It seems the romance could possibly be back on!

“Liam, you followed her to where ever she was going.” My blonde bandmate accused me.

I pulled into the parking lot and ran inside and took the stairs up to Melody’s floor. I didn’t feel like bothering with the elevator. “Hey, Quin. Can’t talk. Important stuff to do.” I opened Melody’s bedroom door and saw her lying on top of the duvet in nothing but a red and black laced bra and red laced panties.
“Back so soon?” Melody bit her bottom lip as I raised an eyebrow at her.
“I do recall saying something about no clothes, Ms. Scott.” I smirked as I stripped my jacked off and tossed it to the side.
“Correct me if I’m wrong, but they’re not technically clothes.” She shrugged as I shut the door behind me, giving us some much needed privacy.

“What? No. Not yet.”
“Not yet?”
“No, not yet.” Liam raised an eyebrow at me.

“Oh, calm down. I was just chatting with my old pal, Liam.” I smiled innocently.
“Get out.”
“Fine.” I huffed and slid off the bed, closing the bedroom door behind me.
Melody’s POV
As soon as the door was shut behind Quin, I turned to Liam. “Well, good morning again.” I giggled as he turned to face me.
