Finding Love

Vanessa's POV

Avery, Rosie, Jeannette, and I are at lunch talking about homecoming. Let me rephrase that they are talking I'm just nodding my head every few seconds. They don't care about what I have to say. Well just Jeannette cares about what I have to say, but not when she's around Avery or Rosie, Jeannette wants them to think she deserves to be in the group. You see we are the popular girls in school. Actually I'm not popular at all I'm usually the forgotten one. Avery is just letting me in the group because the four of us knew each other since Pre-k. But they don't care about that anymore they've been talking about putting me out of the group I know this because of Jeannette. We have sleepovers every now and then, whenever Avery doesn't call her to go over. Anyway back to homecoming.

Avery wants us to wear dresses and of course Rosie agrees. I finally decided to share my idea with them.

"I was thinking maybe we should do something different then what everyone else does." I said.

"Like what?" Avery asked.

"Maybe like jeans and a nice shirt ya know and some tennis shoes or vans." I said hoping for the best but I know they won't agree.

"That's a great idea how come I've never thought of that. Finally Vanessa you have a good idea." Avery said.

"Yeah that's such a good idea." Rosie said agreeing with Avery again.

I looked over to Jeannette and she smiled at me.

"Different shirts or the same shirts?" Avery asked me.

"I haven't thought about that so I guess you can decide." I said to her.

"Ok good." She said. "How about we all wear something different, but I pick them out."

"Sounds good." I said. That's when the popular group of guys came in. Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik. Avery wants Harry she thinks there meant to be, Rosie wants Zayn, Jeannette wants Niall and me on the other hand doesn't want any of them well I like Harry but Avery already has 'dibs'. But he would never want to go out with me. No one has, no one does, and no one ever will. They came to sit at our table like they always do.

Ok that's my cue to leave. I said to myself in my head.

"Bye guys." I said standing up to leave.

"Where are you going?" Harry asked.

"I don't know." I said to him.

"Stay." He said to me.

"You're just messing with me right." I said not wanting to get laughed at if I did sit down.

"No I'm not messing with." He said.

"Really because, you never told me to stay before." I said.

"That's because you always left before I could get to you." He said smiling.

"Well I can't anyway because I have to finish my homework before I get another detention." I said walking away.

I heard all the boys laughing at him because I didn't stay. Oh well I didn't do any homework last night. I already have two slips from two of my teachers if I get one more I have a detention. Anyway Avery would hate me if I stayed. So I guess it was better that I had left I thought, as I sat at a table in the library. So I just shrugged my shoulders and started on my homework.
