Chapter One: The Destined

Zero’s POV

I sit down in the chair with a sigh. The Headmistress sat down behind her desk and looked at me. “ Ms. Quick, it appears to me that you have been up to no good lately, would you care to explain why?” She begins the by now, normal, conversation.

I kick my feet up on her desk and take my hat off. I start flipping it in the air with one hand and messing with my handbag with the other. I was wearing my normal gagster outfit, after all it was the first day of school, I had to make a good impression. I look at the Headmistress while blowing a bubble with my gum. I pop it before saying. “ I’m sorry Headmistress Rebecca but I don’t know what your talking about.”

She sighed.” Well maybe I should remind you. The whole forest has been turned electric blue…..” I laugh at that, “……. The girls locker room has been frozen over………….” I smile “…… and the gym has fire birds flying around in it, in turn threatening al the students safety, and the first day of school hasn’t even started yet.” She finished her rant with a glare.
I raise my hand like in class before talking anyways,” I will admit to the last two crimes but the first was all Archer and Quill. Speaking of them, why am I the only one getting this lecture, I mean they were in on it too.”

She stood up from her chair.” That is because I am responsible for your actions, not theirs.”

I roll my eyes before popping another bubble.” Oh come on Aunt Rebecca I’m just having a little fun.”

She walked around the desk and pushed my feet off it. She then snapped her fingers and my gum was gone, along with my hat and my chains. I stand up and glare at her. ”Hey!”

She glared right back at me. “ Just because you are one on The Ten doesn’t mean you can get away with things.” She snapped before taking a deep breath.” You have a months worth of detention and you will lift the two you caused NOW!”

I sigh and mentally make the ice and fire go away. “There are you happy now.” I growl at her.

She didn’t say anything. All she did was sit down and snap her fingers and there I was right on front of her office door as it slammed shut. A second later I have my hat back on my head, my chains on my jeans, and my gum back in my mouth. I stick my tongue out at the door before turning away.

I turn to see five boys staring at me. I raise an eyebrow while I look them over. Wait a second, I know these five. Yep, there that annoying boy band, what was it, oh yeah One Direction. I stare at them a little longer before I burst out laughing.

“What’s so funny?” I look up at the one who talked, Louis I think. I try to calm down a little but it doesn’t work as I speak.

“Oh I’m……………I’m so sorry. I guess………………..guess your not use to…………………this reaction………from people.” I take a deep breath and stop laughing. I stare at them with a straight face. ”What, did you expect me to freak out like a stupid little fangirl. Your lucky you even got a reaction out of me. I mean most supernaturals stay away from all things…………….mortal.” I say the last word with a disgusted face.

“What do you mean?” I guess that is Liam. I shrug.

“We find your world a bit…………”

“We don’t talk to our new students like that Zero.” I happy voice said behind me. I turn around and see Kiki-Lee.

“Great.” I growl softly before she pushed me aside to get to the boys. I turn around and watch her in hatred. She stopped in front of the boys and clapped.

“Okay, hi boys, I’m Kiki-Lee. I’m the Student Council President and I’ll be giving you your tour today, so lets get started.” She started waving them out the office door and before the door closed behind them I heard her say. ”You should stay away from Zero and her group of freaks. They think they’re all that because they’re in a prophecy and they won’t do you any good.”

I kick my feet up onto the table. We were halfway through the school day and it was lunch time. Archer sat on my left and Keller at my right. They both had food but I didn’t. I wasn’t hungry today.

“Where are Quill and Jay?” Keller asked messing with her hat. She was wearing the normal, which for her something long sleeved outfit. Archer was wearing her normal fashionable outfit.

“Getting their food.” I mumble absent mindedly as I stare at the table across the lunch room. The famous boys looked really uncomfterable at their table. They were sitting with Kiki-Lee. Her table was completely nekos and werewolves. Kind of weird since dogs and cats are supposed to hate each other.

“Why do you think they’re sitting with her people anyway?” I snap. I look at Archer and Keller expectantly but all they do is shrug.

“She got to them first.” Archer says simply.

I glare at her.” No she didn’t…………..” I was interrupted my a loud clanging noise and Kiki-Lee yelling “This is a brand new outfit!”

We all look over and see that Quill had spilled her food all over Kiki-Lee’s disgusting outfit. The three of us are immediately at Quill and jay’s side. I look at Kiki-Lee with a raised eyebrow. ”Well I think that’s the best I’ve ever seen you look Kiki.” I say.

She growled at me.” Tell this little bitch here to be more careful.”

Archer stepped up to her so they were now face to face. Well sort of, Archer is like a foot taller than Kiki-Lee. Her voice was cool and smooth as she said,” Sorry, but I can’t really tell her to do the wrong thing now, can I?”

Kiki’s whole table was at her side, except the famous five. They all had their fangs and claws out, growling at us. That was it. My group immediately went into action. I had a ball of icy mist in one hand and a ball of fire in the other. Archer had her fangs out and her dripping dark red, almost black, poisoned claw out and she was hissing at them. Keller had had a ball of electricity in each hand. Quill, in her fashionable outfit, had her wand out and pointed at Kiki’s neck. Jay, in her normal soft outfit, had her wings out and her staff in hand.

It was silent around us as our groups had a stare down, waiting for the other to attack. Suddenly I was hit by a feeling of calm so hard it made me stumble. I look around and see that it had most likely effected everyone in both groups. I hear footsteps walking towards us and we all turn to see who it is. The famous five were standing about five feet away from us.

“That’s enough.” The blonde one said, Niall I think.

“Are you doing this?” Kiki snapped. He nodded. “ Why the hell do you think it’s okay to jump in like that. I didn’t tell you to so you shouldn’t have done it. We were going to tear this group of freaks apart.”

Archer sighed and looked at Kiki.” Just shut up Kiki, you would never be able to do that.” She looked at Niall,” Thanks Blondie, that could have been ugly.”

He shrugged and smiled. ”Don’t mention it. And my names Niall.”

Archer rolls her eyes.” Whatever Blondie.” The bell rang and we all slowly left and went to our next class.

The 5 of us sit below our tree on a hill in the court yard. We call it our tree because we always hung out here and no one other than us came near it.

The school day had ended a little while ago and we were just sitting here talking. Archer was sitting on a brand on the left side of the tree and Jay was lying against the trunk of the tree on a branch on the right side of the tree, a little lower than Archer, humming while messing with one of her wings. I was lying against the trunk with my hands behind my head. Quill sat in the shade about five feet away from me to the left making cool glowing patterns with her wand and Keller was lying in the grass, in the shade about 3 feet away from me to the right, watching the clouds.

I was almost asleep when I heard a noise. I look up and see the famous five sitting with us. I smile at them. ”About time.”
