Prologue

Archer’s POV

A snow white mist swirled on the forest floor like it had a mind of its own, covering everything from our knees down. It was silent in the forest except for us and there was no wind, making everything completely still. The cold air clouded around our mouths as we breathed in the sharp winter air. The sky had no clouds at all but no stars showed, only the full moon.

I look around and see the others clearly because of my vampire sight and the moonlight. Jay hovered a couple inches above the mist, her wings out completely and her staff in hand. Keller’s eyes were wild, with a ball of electricity in each hand she was ready for any surprises. Quill had her wand out, the tip glowing with a readied spell, though she looked as calm as ever. Zero’s different colored eyes seemed to glow, she had an icy mist in one hand and a ball of fire in the other.I was looking around, my poisoned vampire claws out and ready to tear anything apart.

We were in the forest surrounding Supernatural High looking for the person who had messed up our school. Randomly out of nowhere a huge gust of wind had blown over the whole. Quill said that the wind was enchanted and it made everything except the five of us freeze in place. Hopefully once we find the person who did this and deal with them they would undo the enchantment.

“Archer!” I snap out of my thoughts and look at Zero. She sounded completely desperate when she screamed my name and looked the same. Her eyes were full of fear and looking behind me. I started to turn around when I was pulled into a headlock from someone behind me.

“Looking for me?” A smooth but cold voice said in my ear. I try to get away but he tightened his grip choking me. “Now, now, don’t get carried away. I have something very important to tell you.”

He loosened his grip so I could breath but not escape. If he can hold me here he must be very powerful, I think to myself then I smell the scent off darkness, magic, and death rolling off him, he’s a demon.

“What could you possibly have to tell us, filthy demon.” I hiss at him, digging my claws into his arm. If it hurt him at all he didn’t show it. In fact he laughed, a cruel sound that would have turned my blood cold, if I had any. The girls looked completely terrified and didn’t move.

“You 5 are very important to the fate of this pathetic world, just as I am. Our destinies are intertwined. ‘Ten shall come to save their world, but one shall stand out among them. The immortal girl shall decide the fate of them all in a battle against the demon.’ That is the prophecy of the Destined. You young vampire are suppose to destroy me when I take over the world, and your little friends her are suppose to help you. Sadly one part has not come true yet. There are only five where there should be ten. I guess that means you can’t destroy me now can you?”

“What’s the point of all this then?” Jay asked calmly.

The man shrugged. ”A warning.”

“Then why did you freeze all our people?” Keller snaps.

“Well I couldn’t have anyone interrupting us now, can I?” He sneers.

“And what are you going to do with us.” Quill asked eyeing me.

“I’m going to let you go.” He says and his headlock on me disappears .I have just enough time to turn around and see him before he raises his arms and lets out the same wind that froze everyone, in turn knocking us all down, before disappearing.

"Anthony!" I whisper in shock.
