Blowing Kisses

“You're leaving? Why?” Liam asked, as I was packing my stuff.
“Because...I want to see my sister again. And I want to see Carol again.” I say, emptying drawers.
“Well, can I take you to one of my favorite places? You know, before you leave?” I smiled.
“Sure.” I replied.

“You look good.” Liam says, stopping at a red light.
“Yeah. It’s Carol’s.” I say sniffling.
“Oh. Well it looks nice.”
“Thanks. Where are we going anyway?”
“You’ll remember when we get there.”

Liam’s hands were over my eyes. We had been walking for five minutes.
“Liam, I’m getting anxious.”
“No no! Wait a few seconds… there! Open ‘em!”
I opened my eyes slowly. The I gasp.

"Liam! You didn't!" I cry, pushing him, friendly. Then I remembered. Exactly 3 years from today, we went to this same carnival. And it was the last place I saw him since then.
"Liam, I love you!" I say, grabbing his face and kissing his cheek.
"I love you too, Penelope." He said hugging me. I ran to a cart and got in.
"Liam! Come on, Li!" I say happily.
