Blowing Kisses
Chapter Nine
*Carol's POV*
I heard a loud knock at the door. I opened it seeing Penelope's blue eyes.
"Carol" She cried, hugging me tightly. I tried not to be rude by hugging her back. It really didn't feel the same though.
"How are you, Miss Verbeck?" She asked in a banter-ish tone.
"Hoe dare you leave me and then come knocking at my front door!" I snapped. Was I mad at her? Yes. Was I glad she came back? Yes. Did I continue wanting to be her friend? No, not at all.
"Carol, I'm sorry! I need someone to talk to!" She said, her lips curving downward.
"Try Sherri, I'm busy" I snapped again. I am not a very sympathetic person. I never have been and never will be.
"She...she won't talk to me." She said sniffling.
"Well, try Liam. Apparently he is a better friend than me or Sherri. Goodbye Penelope." I say, shutting the door. I hear her sobbing on the other side. Tears form in my eyes, making my vision blurry. Goodbye Penelope. The words repeated in my head, as her footsteps trailed away from my front porch.

*Penelope's POV*
I call him over and over again, getting the same result, a voicemail from his voice saying that ‘he will call you back as soon as possible’. Yeah, right.
