Me and Skylar went to a room inside, one of the guards pushed me into a room alone. I sat for a few moments feeling scared. The door pushed open and I Kayla running towards me. Her petite arms wrapped around me. 'Kayla!' I hugged her tightly, she looked up and me with her eyes filled with tears. 'Shh, its fine. I will be okay, I did it for you.' I said as she sobbed. She stuck her hand in her pocket and pulled out a pin. a beautiful mocking jay pin. 'Its gorgeou-' I got cut off by a guard in a white suit pulling at Kayla. 'KAYLA! DON'T FUCKING TOUCH HER!' I screamed. She got pushed out of the room. i sat in the corner and sobbed. This couldn't be worse. We were pulled into the train. 'Hello my lovely ladies. We're going to the capitol. Get comfortable!' Effie said. I took a seat at the table. This person came stumbling out. 'Haymitch go take a bath! You smell terrible! We have guests here now! Meet Skylar and Kassidy. She volunteered for her sister.' Effie spoke. 'I know I wasssss thereeeee.' A drunk Haymitch said. Skylar sat looking out the window. I could tell she was sad. 'Hey, you okay?' I asked softly. She wiped her tears and looked up at me. 'Yeah, its just hard to think we are going into the games, and one survives. If anyone dies, it should be me. You have Kayla to take care of.' She said. 'Are you insane?! I promise you we will make it together. I am not letting you go. I swear.' I said and hugged her. 'I am going to bed, its been a horrid day' I said. 'Okay, I love you Kassidy. Best friend I could ever ask for.' She said. 'Same to you, Night love.' I said as the automatic door slammed shut. I went to my bed and lied down looking at the view as I slowly fell asleep. I woke up and lazily walked to the dining room. 'Morning darling!' Effie said very cheery. 'Whats so good about it?' I asked. She got quite. I sighed, 'I am sorry just not in the best of moods.' I said. 'Its okay sweetie.' She said. Skylar came out of her room looking like a mess. 'Hey.' I said. 'Hey.' She said with a slight smile. I spread the jam on my toast, 'So girls, in a few hours you two will be getting hair and make up done for Caesar's talk show." Effie said. I looked over at Haymitch staring at me while sipping on rum. I am not gonna lie, it was very creepy. We finished eating, "Come look!" Skylar said. I looked out the window. 'We are in the capitol.' Skylar whispered amazed. A few hours we were leaded into a room made of steel and metal. Skylar got lead to a different room, 'Hello, I am Cinna. Your stylist.' He said, He was wearing a dark suit with colorful eyeliner. Yep, we are in the capitol alright. i thought mentally. 'Nice to meet you, I am Kassidy. From district 12.' I said. 'I already know you silly!' he said cheerfully. He dragged me to another room, my eyebrows got plucked while on the other hand my face got some weird makeup smudged everywhere on my face. My hair was straightened and washed. Cinna came in with a beautiful dress "'wow.' i said in awe. It was drop dead gorgeous. I slipped it on and it fit perfectly
