Hunger Games (1D Version)

Today is the day of the reaping for the Hunger Games. Each year they put all of the names of our district in a glass bowl. District 12. That's where me and Skylar live. Skylar is my bestfriend who also lives in District 12 with me. Skylar's father died in the Hunger Games 15 years ago. I was getting ready for the reaping. I decided and put my outfit on. I looked in the mirror and took a selfie. We're the richest district so we have a lot. We don't have peacekeepers like the other districts do. I went to Skylar's house next door. 'Sky I'm coming in!' I walked in and saw her sleeping on the floor. 'Skylar Shimmer Bolt wake your ass up right now and get ready for the reaping today!' I screamed at her. 'Holy shit! It starts in an hour! I need to get dressed and ready.' Sky's mom had died 3 years after her fathers death. She lives alone and with me. she walked out in a beautiful outfit. We walked to the square where Effie and Haymitch will be standing. I grabbed her hand and we walked into our line. 'Remember if one of us is picked, the other volunteers as tribute.' I spoke. 'Got it.' she spoke. 'Welcome! Welcome! Happy Hunger Games and may the odds be ever on your favor! Now I will pick two names out of the glass bowl.' She picked one name out of the bowl. 'Skylar Bolt. Were are you love?' I let go of Skylar's hand. 'See you up there.' Skylar walked up with so much confidence in her walk. 'Next!' she pulled out another name. 'Kayla Mae' (A/N Kayla is Kassidy's younger sister) Effie spoke. 'I VOLUNTEER! I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!' 'We have our first volunteer. Happy Hunger Games may the odds be ever in your favor! Now lets get to the Capitol shall we?'
