Stole My Heart

We went through the usual morning routine before heading out to the airport. Sarah drove and everyone else pretty much sat in silence. Occasionally someone would make a comment here and there, but otherwise, it was completely silent.

I called Niall once we were 5 minutes from the airport and they met up with us once we had arrived. We filed out of the car, once again in silence. Everyone was there, including 5 Seconds of Summer. We all kind of stood there awkwardly before someone said that we had twenty minutes.

"So, this is it?" I asked, my voice wavering.

"No, it's the beginning. We'll come back." Harry said reassuringly.

"Thanks, for everything." Sarah said choking up.

Michael came over and gave me a hug, followed by Calum. Harry and Zayn were next. I whispered "Thank you," in their ears before they went over to hug the other girls. Ashton and Louis were the next two to give me a hug. My eyes started filling up with tears and I struggled to hold them back.

"It'll be okay," Louis whispered in my ear. I forced myself to smile, and they moved on.

Liam came over next, "I'm really going to miss you," he said gently.

"Yeah, me too," I said, a single tear falling down my cheek. He wiped it away and kissed me on the forehead before saying, "There's no need to cry love, we'll see each other soon." I nodded before he went over to Nina.

Luke's P.O.V.

I looked over at Laurel and tears were slowly rolling down her cheeks. It nearly broke my heart to see her cry. I walked over to her and she looked down. I embraced her and rocked her back and forth, trying to get her to calm down.

"I'll come back for you." I said looking down at her gently. "You don't need to cry."

"I'm just going to miss you so much, all of you." she replied sniffling.

"I'll miss you too." I responded then kissed her on the nose.

She was so beautiful, even when she was crying. I could hardly bring myself to leave her, but I had to. I hugged her again tightly. I kissed her on the cheek before Calum came over and said that we had to go. I looked over and saw Sarah and Ashton, he looked at her so gently before he kissed her on the forehead.

"You'd better go." Laurel said backing away.

"Not before I see you smile one more time." I replied looking back at her. She laughed a bit and let out a smile so beautiful I knew I would never see one like it again. Then I turned around and ran to catch up with Ashton.

Niall's P.O.V.

I went over to Laurel as soon as Luke left, knowing that I didn't have much time. Her tears were falling at a steady pace now. I held her and stroked her hair, rocking her back and forth.

"I think I'm going to miss you most of all." I whispered in her ear.

"I'll miss you too. It feels as though you're already gone." she said, forcing the words out.

"You'll be all right," I said, attempting to reassure her. "I promise you, I will come back for you."

"Promise?" she asked uncertainly.

"Promise." I replied firmly.

I held her again and we stayed like that until I felt Liam tap on my shoulder.

"Niall, we've got to go." he said gently.

"Niall, don't go." Laurel whispered quietly.

"I have to." I said kissing her on the cheek.

As I started to walk away, I heard her yell over her shoulder, "Remember your promise!"

"I will!" I yelled back.

I got on the plane and sat down, Staring out the window at her. I heard Harry quietly singing I Should've Kissed You and I realized I forgot something.

Laurel's P.O.V. (again)

I stood there until he got on the plane. I turned as I felt Sarah nudge me and said, "Come on."

I started to follow her but turned as I heard Niall's voice yell, "Wait! Laurel wait!"

I turned around confused and ran to him. When I was sure he could hear me I asked, "Niall, what-?" but before I could finish he kissed me. It was a slow gentle kiss, my first one. My first kiss and it's with Niall Horan, what do you know! He pulled away and started running back to the plane.

"I love you Laurel!" he called over his shoulder.

I stood there blushing and smiling. I didn't really know what to think. I was still standing in the same spot when the plane took off. Just before it was out of sight I whispered, "I love you too."
