Feeling Safe With Danger
Chapter 2
I walked into my house and shut the door behind me quietly, hoping to not wake my parents up. I went straight to my room and started to change into nightwear. I grabbed a pair of shorts and forcefully shrugged a t-shirt around my torso, eager to settle down into bed. My hand darted for my laptop as I plopped down on my comforter. I opened up straight to Facebook, and saw pictures from the party had already popped up in the screen. I proceeded to look through them. I saw several of the slutty girls dancing, next I saw Blake with his arm around a blonde, and the next picture caused me to jump back into my headboard.
It was of me and Andrew. He had his hand around my waist and his creepy smile on full display. My back was facing the camera but my body language screamed uncomfortable. But it wasn’t the sight of Andrew or me that sent me to my headboard. It was who was next to Andrew, Harry. He was glaring at Andrew, supposedly his friend, his eyes full of anger and hatred. It was even more frightening then the perverted look Andrew had.
I decided I had enough of Facebook for one night. I shut my laptop and set it on my night stand. I reached over to my lamp to shut off, when I peered through my window, across the room. On the street, I saw a black range rover. The man standing outside of the car was definitely looking up at my window. I couldn’t tell who it was, being that it was way too dark outside to see. Horrified, I ran to the window to pull my curtain over it, and doing so, I managed to see the outline of his hair. I jumped into my bed, deciding to keep my lamp on. I had a pretty good idea who had followed me home and was currently stalking me because his hair was curly.
--------------------------------- *Next Morning*------------------------------------
I pushed through the heavy double doors into the clothing store.
“Vana!” I turned around to meet the beaming blue eyes in front of me
“Hey, Lola” I said as her face turned from happy to confused.
“Where did you go last night? We were looking everywhere for you!” Shoot. I had forgotten to text my friends that I had ran off from the party. On the spot, I explained everything that happened from how Blake tried to force himself on me to Andrew’s creepiness to the photo on Facebook to Harry standing outside my house looking into my window.
“Wow....” She shook her head, her blonde strands of hair shifting over her eyes. “Well, I’m glad you’re okay. I just hope Blake won’t be causing you any trouble...or Harry.” Her eyes shifted nervously to me to catch my reaction.
I sighed, my eyes shutting closed for a few seconds. “Hopefully not. Let’s get to work. Do you mind folding the new box of clothes that came in this morning, while I look around the store to make sure all the clothes are in place?”
“Sure, no problem.” She turned to get to work. My mind instantly wandered back to her words. “I just hope Blake won’t be causing you any trouble...or Harry.” The memories from last night had already shaken me up quite a bit, and the thought of having to deal with a situation like that (or worse) in the future scared the living crap out of me.
I continued around the store, making sure all the clothes were in their proper places. As I was switching a few sizes around, the double doors barged open. The sound surprised me a bit but I didn’t care to look up.
A shadow hovered over me. I tensed up, inhaling the familiar scent of cigarette smoke. A forceful hand grabbed my waist, twisting me around. I scanned up the man, his black shoes, heavily scruffed, weren’t tied. His black, worn pants had powder residue left on them and his leather jacket, seeming to be the only item he cared for, was zipped up to the valley between his pecs. No shirt was placed under the jacket, allowing a clear view of his icy-white skin. I gulped, knowing who it was who had his hand currently placed on my body. My eyes cautiously raised up to meet his beady ones.
Awesome story. Will wait for ur update :)
