Alyssa's Point of View

"Okay, new beginning. This is a fresh start." I finished up with my mascara and continued talking to myself. "No tears today, save them for home. You can do this Alyssa, you can make it."

"Uh, hey, Alyssa?" I jumped as I saw Harry appear to the left of me.

I really hope he didn't hear me.

"I'm not finished Harry! Can't you see I'm still in here?" I slammed the door in his face and covered my scars with some makeup. I'm not wearing a million bracelets like usual. I'm going in strong.

When I finished, about thirty seconds later, I opened the door and passed Harry with a smile, "It's all yours."

In my room I searched my closet. "No, no, no, no, and no. Ahhhhh!" I screamed.

"Alyssa hurry up we have to go in ten minutes." I threw a shoe at Luke and glared at him. I can't do the first day of school. I can't do school at all. I hate trying to impress people just to get them to not bully me; or recognize me for that matter.

I finally found a nice shirt I got for my birthday a year ago that I never really liked. I'm used to wearing just black, white, and gray. It's not that I'm 'goth' or 'emo', I just like those colors.

After I finally decided what I was wearing would be okay I found my keys and headed downstairs to find Luke and Harry playing table football.

They both looked nice as well although they were both wearing just t-shirts. If I wasn't trying that's what I would've worn as well. Luke of course had to wear his same red converse--but I can't say anything considering I've worn my converse for the passed year--and Harry wore what he normally wears. They look good, really good for the first day.

"Wow Alyssa, someone's trying today." Am I already going to start with my eye-rolling count?

"Are we ready?" I asked ignoring is ignorance.

"You're not going to eat?" Harry asked, still looking at me.

"I don't have time, come on!" We walked outside and there was a nice breeze. Dad had just cut the grass which caused the summery scent to fill the air and the birds were chirping away at this early hour. I made sure the cover for my jeep is up so my hair won't get all messy and we began for the school.

The drive would be longer than normal since we moved but I told my mom that I refuse to go to another school for my senior year. I've gone to the same schools since kindergarten and I wasn't going to stop now.

"When we get there I'll take you to the main office to get your schedule. I can walk you to your first class but then hopefully you'll be able to find your way around."

I looked to Harry who took up the passenger seat and he worried.

"Hey, it'll be fine. I'm the one who should be nervous."

"Yeah, you'll be fine bro. They'll like you--especially the girls. Just make sure to really use that accent of yours." Second eye roll of the day as Harry smiled.

When we arrived and I parked in my designated spot I stared at the school. Not unlocking the doors or making any sign of moving for anytime soon. I had flashes from the years before.

"You're such a screw up Alyssa. Why do you even go here? No one likes you."
"Your hair is ugly and so is your face. What's wrong with you?"
"I bet you were an accident."
*laughter, laughter, laughter, laughter*

"Lys! Lets go. You only have fifteen minutes to get Harry where he needs to be."

"Right." I unlocked the door finally and we began walking into the school.

Luke immediately found his friends and ran off.

"I think you're hair looks nice." I looked at Harry with a half smile and laughed through my nose. "I've never seen it curly."

"I tried a little bit today. I really am trying to stay away from drama."

"I don't think you should try to be someone your not. I like you the way you are." I felt the tears already.

No crying Lys.

"So these are the doors you'll go through most everyday."

We walked to the office and he got his schedule and locker location. They put his next to mine so if he ever needed help he could find it. I took him to where each of his classes would be upstairs and then showed him his classes on the lower level.

"This school is big."

"It does look big doesn't it." I laughed and he nodded. "Once you start going to class it'll be easier. And look," I pointed to his schedule, "we have last period together. History, it's my favorite."

"Good, because I don't know anything about American history." I forgot he probably never learned about our wars; besides the one's he was in.

The first bell rang and there was still no sign of any of my bullies. Maybe they didn't recognize me with the hot boy getting all of the stares.

"Oh, last thing. You only have four classes today because we do something called block scheduling. Today you'll have four and then tomorrow you'll have a different four. It will go back and fourth. So today's and "A" day." I smiled, confusing him already.

I patted him on the back, "Don't worry, it'll make sense after this week." His first class is physic so I took him to Mrs. Bogues' classroom and then I found AP stat. This should be interesting.

Next chapter I'll give you Harry's POV. I planned on doing it in this chapter but I'm really busy.

Also, today is the start of non-bullying. It is #TheLineProject. This event will be for this month December 15-20th. If you want to participate it's really easy! If you are depressed, self-harm, or are feeling down, draw 6 lines with sharpie, horizontally, on your wrist/arm. If you are supporting this cause, do the same except mark yourself on your right wrist/arm. The lines stand for millions of lives lost from suicide.
Alyssa is unfortunately bullied a lot and no one should go through that, especially alone! If you support this cause, let me know below! I will be participating and it's an amazing thing to do!
