Harry's Point of View

I walked out of the bathroom as not-nonchalantly as possible. How long were they looking? I guess the door wasn't open for too long but still. Before taking my towel off I walked to my door and began locking it until I heard another knock and open.

"Hey, wanna swim?" Alyssa is really bad at this privacy thing.

"Uh, I don't know. I just got out of the shower."

"Okay, suit yourself." She wasn't going to argue? No begging? Before she disappeared into her room I stepped into the hallway,

"Actually, I will but I have a problem." This is embarrassing. She lifted her eyebrow,

"I don't have any swimming trucks." Alyssa shrugged,

"You don't have to wear any, it's okay." I found my eyes expanding and then I heard her laugh. "I'm just kidding, I'll get you some of Luke's."

I walked outside last and saw Alyssa laying on her belly reading a book. Her friend and Luke were in the pool horse-playing.

"I'm Marilyn!" A big splash hit me and I took a step back from the pool. I held my arms out wishing I had just left my shirt inside. I laughed,

"I'm Harry, you alright?"

"Uhh, yeah? I'm fine. Are you alright?" Everyone looks at me funny when I ask how they are. Maybe I'm saying it wrong.

"Great."

"You getting in dude?"

"Yeah." I tossed my towel near a chair and took off my now wet shirt. Marilyn seems different than Alyssa. She's much more....happier.

"Oh, wait! Harry, I think Alyssa needs some sunscreen first." She winked at me and I looked down, picking at the skin between my eyebrows. Oh God.

I looked at Alyssa and she was completely indulged in her reading.

"I'm sure she's okay." I dipped my toes into the water. Ahh, so cold.

"Alyssa!"

"What Marilyn?" She flipped to the next page and continued reading, faintly listening to Marilyn.

"Don't you need some sunblock?"

Alyssa set her book in front of her and straightened her arms against the pavement so her back was curved upward.

"I guess. My back's probably going to burn soon." She sighed, "I don't have any though and I'm too lazy to get up."

"It's okay," she held onto Luke's shoulders tighter and looked at me, "Harry, can you grab the sunblock out of my bag?" She then looked back at Alyssa, "Harry will help you out."

I didn't look at either girl but Marilyn was giggling and I'm sure Alyssa was mumbling something under her breath.

"Do you need help?" She kinda intimidates me.

"I think I can handle it but thanks." She breathed out a small laugh. "Don't mind Marilyn, she just likes giving people a hard time."

"Yeah? I couldn't tell." I sat next to her; we're finally having an actual conversation. I watched as she squirted some of the lotion into her cupped palm and rubbed it on her chest. I really should look away but I can't. Her body is so perfect. I just hope she isn't one of those girls who says she's fat when she knows damn well she isn't.

"I like it too."

"Huh?"

"My swimsuit. That's what you're staring at, right?" She took me away from my daze.

"Oh, yeah, it's a nice color. I like pink." Wow, I just said that.

"It's peach but thanks. So I've given up, can you just get my back?"

I brushed her wavy hair away from her back, hoping that was okay, and shook some lotion in my hands, rubbing them together before touching her warm skin.

"What are you reading?" It was too quiet for my liking and I do want to get to know her--I am going to be living here for a year. I'd also like to stay away from her bad side.

"The Princess Bride. It's my favorite."

"Oh, I've never heard of it."

"I'll read it to you some time." She was going to read it to me. I laughed and she turned around, "What? I'm serious. I like reading to people."

I tried to play it off, "Oh yeah, who do you read to?"

"No one yet. No one will let me."

"Oh." Now I feel bad,

"I've never really asked anyone but this book is too good to not read. It's not all cheesy either; it's an adventure." I think I'd like for her to read to me but I won't tell her that yet.

"Okay, I'm all ears." I smiled and moved further down her back. I don't know how far I'm supposed to go.

Alyssa continued talking about the book. She's rather chatty when she's interested in something. I should remember that for later.

Books, she likes books.

"Thanks, do you need any?"

"I can get it, thanks." She stared at me until I finally spoke, "What?" I smiled at her not so intimidating look.

"Why don't you just let me help you and save yourself some embarrassment." I handed it over to her. That's true.

Alyssa stood behind me and reached to my shoulders.

"Sit." She demanded.

"Yes, ma'am." I laughed and did as she said. Her book was sitting next to me so I went ahead and flipped through it as she massaged my back with sunblock.

"Aww look at Alyssa and Harry." One of the twins simpered.

"Just ignore them." Alyssa whispered behind my curls. She must be used to this; I can't believe I didn't notice it from the beginning. No one calls their mum 'mother'.

Megan and Erin wore heels and bikini's along with sun hats. They're really pretty too, it's just their personalities that are a huge turn off.

"Marilyn! I am not okay with you hanging all over my little brother!"

"I'm okay with it!" Luke yelled before Marilyn snapped.

"Oh, shut the fuck up Erin." Erin's wearing blue and Megan's in black. Got it.

Luke laughed and pulled Marilyn over his shoulders I expected a reaction from Alyssa but there wasn't one--just a quiet sigh. The twins laid out their towels, ignoring me. I'm guessing they're still embarrassed from last night.

"Alright, you're all good. If you get a sunburn it won't be my fault." She didn't laugh this time even though I know it was a joke. Megan and Erin have really played a toll on her.

"Are you going to get in?" I asked as she took her book from me.

"Hell yes, do you think I'm going to sit next to these two for the next hour?" I laughed and we got in the cool water together.
