Am I Safe?

Chapter 9:
*“It’s about time, I was wondering when you would finally realize.” I just stand there and gap at him not knowing what else to do.*

*Alana's POV*
"Why are you doing this?" I ask my voice shaking.
"You still didn't answer my question, why are you going outside?" His eyes are daring as he moves closer to me once again.
"Just leave me alone. I don't mind calling the police." I threaten pointing at him trying to keep as still as possible. My head begins to hurt from all of this. I can't think straight as I try reaching for my phone in my pocket. I look down patting my back and front pockets finding it empty.
"They took your phone, you would have noticed if you weren't in such a rush to go meet him in the back." He smirks knowingly at me. If I could just smack that damn smirk off his face, I would. I try and shove all my fear away so I can think rationally but it is only replaced with anger.
"It is none of your business about what I do, so just leave me the hell alone and go back to work." I state storming out with the bag in my hand. I quickly slam the door and block it with the lawn chair that was sitting right next to the garbage, so he couldn't follow me out.
"Alana open this door, you’re in danger!" Harry bangs loudly on the door. I roll my eyes even though he can't see me
"I am in danger when I am around you so back off!" I yell back ignoring him from then on and go searching for the man from earlier. What if they thought I was taking too long and went back in there to kill everyone? What if they set up a bomb? What if th--. I stop my irrational thoughts when I see him leaning against a black range rover with tinted windows. A shiver crawls up my spine when I meet my brown eyes with his cold blue ones. He smirked at me as I approached.
“You wanted to talk?” I murmured quietly once I was close enough.
“I'm glad you came through and listened Alana. I need you to cooperate with me though, are you willing to do that?” The man who trapped me in the closet earlier said. He inches closer to me, his breath fanning over my face. I simply nod my head backing up a bit. It was uncomfortable for him to be so close to me. I still don’t know their names so I suppose I'll ask.
“What are your names?” I stare them down. I really hope I’m not getting myself into something I’ll regret. Should I have trusted Harry? Maybe he really is trying to help. No! No, he has been stalking me, he’s dangerous. I need to stay away from him at all costs. The man furrowed his eyebrows. Probably debating if he should tell me or not.
“I’m Edward,” (The one who trapped me in the closet) “and this is Blake” He said pointing to his blonde friend. I simply nod and let him continue.
“We called you out here to see if we could rationalize things in a calmer setting, we’re not bad guys but we will be if it’s needed.” Blake said with an evil glint in his eyes.
“What exactly do we need to rationalize? I’ve never met either of you in my life.” I was really confused I can’t think of any reason that they need to talk to me. I start getting unwelcome feelings of uncertainty, this would be a great time to have my phone.
“We have been watching you for a year or two now and you are an important piece to our program. Our leader asked us to pick you up and bring you to headquarters.”
“First of all I’m not going anywhere with you, second, what program and why am I important in this?”
“So many great questions Alana, but unfortunately we can’t tell you anything else. Oh and you are coming with us whether you like it or not.” Edward snickered. I look at the both of them in pure disgust. Who do they think they are? I slowly start shifting backwards in an attempt to get away. I’m really hoping they won’t notice.
“You must be really stupid if you believe I’ll go with you.” I say standing my ground. They both laugh.
“You’re calling us stupid when you’re the one who thinks we wouldn’t notice you walking away.” Blake points out.
“If you don’t have anything else to talk about then I really need to get back to work.” I turn and start fast walking back to the restaurant. I’m pulled back into someone. I take a breath readying to scream but it gets muffled by what I assume to be Edwards hand.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Edward whispered in my ear, confirming my thoughts. Taking his hand off my mouth, he grabs my arm trying to get a better grip on me.
“Let go of me!” I threaten quietly, trying to stay calm.
“No can do babe, we said we weren’t the bad guys, but you’re making this harder than it has to be.” Blake says walking right in front of me. My eyes meet his and I immediately look away. How can someone’s eyes be so cold and uninviting? I shoot my gaze toward his shoes. I catch sight of something in his hand before doing so though. I do a double take and see what the item was. My whole body goes numb. I can’t feel a thing, not Edwards’s hands on me, not my shaky breath heaving in and out of my body, or even the beating of my own heart. My dad always told me that they were the Devil’s creation, that no human should ever hold one unless they are possessed by the Devil himself. A gun.
Edward didn’t have time to cover my ear piercing scream before it came out this time. I screamed so loud Blake nearly fell over in surprise.
“Dude Ed, shut her up” Blake called over me. I do the last thing I could think of before his hands cover my mouth again.
“HARRY! Harry!” I scream louder to be sure he heard.
“Har—” I finally get cut off by Edward’s hand. Blake sighs in relief while rubbing his temples.

“She knows Harry?” Edward questions.
“Dammit the asshole got to her before us.”
“Do you think he’ll come out here? Should we be worried?”
“Well we wouldn’t have to worry if you hadn’t taken your hand off her damn mouth.” Blake says raising his voice. He walks closer to us and I whimper back only to find out he was going after his friend. I see him raise the gun out of the corner of my eye. I flinch and close my eyes ready to hear a gun shot. It doesn’t come though all I hear is a thud.
“Ow! Hey that doesn’t give you a reason to hit me though.”
“Oh trust me it’s a great reason considering that this is probably the fifth taking you have screwed up!”
“It has not been five!”
“Fine four not including this.”
“Why don’t we include this, because, there is no way you are taking her.” I visibly relax, but then get anxious again remembering that he is dangerous too. I feel both men tense up as well.
“Styles.” Edward grumbles. Blake turns with Edward taking me with him. I see Harry standing there, man if looks could kill both these man would be dead and gone. He looked pissed.
“Let her go Ed. She doesn’t deserve this you know that.”
“Oh stop trying to be the hero Harry you are just like us, you can’t change, you’re only covering it up.”
“You’re right people can’t change, they only cover it up. You see, the thing is I have nothing to cover up, I was never like you guys and never will be.”
“Stop lying to yourself and just come back. We could do this together” Blake tries to persuade him. I start beginning to worry that Harry actually might take their offer. He looks like he’s thinking.
“You know now that you mention it I am pretty tired of trying to save these helpless girls from you, it’s not like you guys will ever stop anyway.” I see him run his finger through his hair contemplating the whole thing.
“Yah, now you’re thinking straight. Are you in or not because we really need to get her to the boss.” I feel Edward’s hot breath on my neck with every word. I see an evil smirk roll across Harry’s face. No no this can’t be, dammit why did I call him? I can feel my nose start to burn and my eyes coating with water warning me that I am about to cry. I can’t let them see me like this. I was a little too late as a tear rolled down my left cheek.
“Okay fine let’s get this over with, it’s going to be nice to see everyone again.” Harry says smiling at the two repulsing men. I start viciously shaking my head trying to get him to change his mind.
“Who’s going to save you now sweetheart.” Blake laughed at me while signally for Edward to move me towards their car. I shove my heels into the ground and whip back and forth trying to break free. Finally Ed just got sick of it and picked me up still somehow managing to keep a hand on my mouth and back. We were right next to the backseat with Edward leading the way and Blake and Harry in the rear. I hear them lightly talking about the location we were headed but it abruptly stops. Edward sets me down but keeps a tight grip on my wrist while he uses his other hand to open the back seat.
“Get in and don’t try anything, it's three against one anyway. You don’t stand a chance.” He rips my arm nearly out of its socket then pushes me into the backseat. He was about to slam the door shut but falls forward into the car banging his head on the doorframe. His body falls to the ground next to the car. I can see a little blood dripping on the back of his head. I was in complete shock, looking up to see Harry standing there with a brick in his hand. Where the hell did he get that? Wait that’s not important right now, I need to escape and Harry is a few feet away. Maybe I could make a run for it. I slide out of the car quickly and start to run out from behind the restaurant.
“Alana... Dammit Alana come back here!” I hear Harry start to run after me. I can’t trust him, not that I ever did, but he probably knocked those two men out so he could have me for himself. I keep the same pace not letting up; it seems that Harry wasn’t going to either. I turn my head to look back at him. He was literally right behind me. I couldn’t run any faster and Harry eventually caught up.He pulled on my wrist making me stumble back. I turn and with my other hand slap him square in the face. He doesn’t let got though, if anything he tightens his grasp on me.
“We have to get out of here!” I keep squirming but finally grunt in frustration.
“No, go away! I won’t go with you!” I yell in his face.
“Fine, you don’t have to go willingly!” Harry yelled back whilst throwing me over his shoulder and carrying me across the street. I love how absolutely nobody cares about what is happening, that or they just don’t notice. Harry suddenly stops and I again get thrown into a car. The door slams shut behind me. I look around and I am in shotgun. I reach for the door handle but it won’t open. Really? He locked me in? Oh crap, I have just been kidnapped by my stalker. Why hadn’t I gone to the police sooner? I start having a panic attack. I am never going to be able to escape, I won’t have a family of my own, I won’t get married, and I’ll probably be raped. With everything racing through my mind I barely hear the car door next to me open. Everything is closing in on me.
“Hey Alana are you alright? Alana!?” I feel Harry’s eyes on me and he starts shaking my shoulder lightly. I turn my gaze to him start to freak out some more.
“Hey hey look at me” He place he finger under my chin and lifts my eyes to his.
“I am trying to save you, you’re safe with me.” As unsafe as I feel his eyes calm me a bit. My breathing slowly goes back to normal, or close to it. I shut my eyes and face forward in my seat again, taking a deep breath.
“Look I have a lot of explaining to do.” Harry states stating the car and pulls out of the lot.
“You bet.”

Hey yall I tried writing a long chapter and I hope you like it:) sorry i have been crazy busy...and lazy....what can i say its summer:) I wrrote some of this chapter in the middle of the night so bear with me and it still needs to be edited:P soon darlings soon
