Lost To You

~ Harry's POV ~

I gulp as Ashely looks at Audrey with furrowed eyebrows.

"Like, three days..." Ashely says and Audrey looks at me with an amused expression.

"Three days?" Audrey confirms and Ashely nods with a smile. I keep my eyes on Audrey as she looks at Deborah in disbelief. Deborah turns to me with her eyes in slits. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

"You lied to her!" Deborah yells and Audrey walks over to her friend to silence her.

"What?" Ashely asks and I sigh.

"I'll tell you what! Your little boyfriend is full of bullshit!" Deborah says and Audrey covers her mouth.

"He is not! I don't know what the hell you're talking about!" Ashely defends and I look at Zayn who was smirking.

"Who's going to tell her?! I'd be happy to do it!" Deborah exclaims and Audrey sighs in defeat.

"Oh! Look at the time! We should be going!" Audrey says and looks at her wrist that doesn't have a watch on it.

"No! This dick better explain himself!" Deborah yells and Audrey grabs her arm.

"Calm your tits! He's not worth it." Audrey says. Ouch. Hell, I deserve it.

"What the fuck are you talking about?!" Ashely screams and Audrey looks at her.

"Calm the fuck down. I'm literally this close to ripping your nose ring out." Audrey says through clenched teeth.

"Audrey, he lied to you! Why aren't you pissed?!" Deborah exclaims and Audrey sighs.

"He made a choice and I can't change that! You need to chill, okay?" Audrey is being unusually calm about this.

"Fine." Deborah grumbles and sits back down in the circle.

"Well...?" Ashley snaps and Audrey turns to glare at her.

"I'm not going to be the one to tell you. At this point it's up to Harry." Audrey tells her and Ashely rolls her eyes.

"Bitch." Ashely mutters and Audrey scoffs.

"Really? I'm right here." Audrey snaps and Ashely nods.

"I know."

"Shut up! You'll get your fucking ass kicked if you don't stop talking right now." I warn Ashely and she gapes. "Audrey can I talk to you?" I ask and Audrey shakes her head no.

"I have nothing to discuss with you." Audrey shrugs and I sigh.

"I have some things to discuss with you." I say and she stands up. We walk out onto the balcony and once the door shuts I see her slowly turn to me.

"Three days?" Audrey croaks and I nod.

"I know...at the airport it just slipped. I was so angry at you for ending things with us and I wanted to make you jealous." I say and she bits her lip to keep herself from crying.

"Mission accomplished. Harry...I don't even know what to say! What do I say?! I broke up with you! I shouldn't even have a say in who you're with..." She wipes under her eyes and winces at the contact with the bruised skin.

"Maybe because we need to be together." I say and she sighs.

"This past week I have done nothing but think about you! Harry, I haven't had the time for grieving about my mother's death because I'm numb! I'm completely and emotionally drained from the break up and the baby...I have wanted nothing more than to be with you again!" All I want to do is kiss her pain away...

"Why can't we? Why can't we just be together?" I ask

"Because I ended things for a reason! I ended things so you could be with someone like Ashely. She's beautiful, and sweet, she doesn't come with a load of shit and that's exactly what you need!" She exclaims.

"I need you!" I argue.

"You don't need me! I'm a ticking time bomb and once I blow up everyone close to me will burn!" She yells and I want to punch a wall.

"Why do you think so lowly of yourself?!" I say and she looks at me like I'm crazy.

"I can't even compare to Ashely! She's flawless!" Right then I wanted to kiss her and tell her how much I love her...but that can't happen.

"No! Stop comparing yourself to her! She's not you. You are amazing, Audrey. I love anything and everything about you! I love you! Why can't you see that?!" I say and she takes in a breath.

"I can't do this." She says shakily and opens the slider door to leave. I follow her inside and grab hold of her wrist.

"Can't do what?!" I ask and she looks at the people sitting on the floor watching us.

"What do you think?" She says and Ashely stands up.

"Don't waste your time, Harry! She doesn't deserve it." Ashely remarks.

"Hey! That's my friend your talking about!" Deborah yells and Ashely roll her eyes.

"Audrey is not a waste of time you bitch!" Perrie surprises everyone by yelling and Deborah smiles at the blonde.

"Clearly she is! Harry is chasing after a pregnant whore while we're having a party! How ridiculous is that?!" Ashely says and Audrey jerks her arm away from my grasp.

"You don't even know me! I'm not a whore!" Audrey defends herself and I internally smile at her.

"You're 20 years old and knocked up by a guy who left you!" Ashely yells.

"You don't know anything about what happened! You know what? You're not even worth the time I spend yelling at you! If you are low enough to insult me right in front of my friends then you sure as hell are no better than me!" Niall stands up and we all look at him.

"Audrey, come sit down next to me." Niall says and Audrey walks over to him and takes up the space next to Niall.

"Are you going to tell us what really happened with your eye?" Michael says and I sit down in my original seat, we're clearly not going to be finishing our conversation anytime soon.

"No." Audrey mumbles and I sigh.

"How are you by the way?" Liam asks and Audrey laughs.

"I'm fucking fantastic! Thanks for asking." Audrey says sarcastically and Deborah joins Audrey in laughter.

"Okay! Stupid question!" Liam confesses and I play with the hem of my shirt.

"We missed you while you were away." Zayn says and Audrey looks at him.

"I'm sure that's not true!" Audrey exclaims and the boys shake their heads.

"We did! No one was here to verbally abuse Joseph or humiliate Zayn!" Niall says and we all laugh.

"I don't do either of those things-well, I only humiliated Zayn once and Joseph...just...he's Joseph."
Audrey says and I can't help but smile.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Joseph exclaims and she laughs.

Her laugh. She had the most ridiculous, contagious laugh. I loved it. Every fucking bit of it.

"You know what it means!" Deborah says and Joseph starts laughing.

"Okay! Okay!" Audrey says and sniffles a bit.

"But we really did miss you, Audge. I mean you are the reason we're all friends anyway." Louis says and Audrey raises one eyebrow in confusion.

"Deborah's the one that invited you all to get drunk at our hotel room." She clarifies and Zayn shakes his head no.
"Well, yeah but if Harry hadn't seen you we wouldn't have even walked over there." Zayn points out and I glare at him.

"What?" Audrey cooks her head to the side and I mentally face palm.

"Harry saw the three of you walking and he said you were so beautiful he just had to see you." Zayn explains and Audrey looks at the ground to hide the blush in her cheeks.

"Sure." Ashely scoffs and I look at her.

"I swear to god one more word out of you an-" Audrey cuts Deborah off from finishing her sentence.
"Deborah." Audrey warns through clenched teeth.

"No! Deborah's right! I am a dick and Ashely needs to apologize." I yell and Ashely widens her eyes at me.

"Why are you defending them?" Ashely snaps and I roll my eyes.

"Because I love her." I blurt and everyone stops talking. Wait. Did I really just say that?

"That's not what you said last night." Ashely smirks and Audrey grabs her purse from the table.
"Wait!" Perrie exclaims and stands up.

"No! I shouldn't have to deal with this shit. Thank you all so so much for this party but I'm just gonna go back to the hotel." Audrey says and I stand up to walk towards her.

"But this is your birthday party!" Louis says and Audrey puts her sunglasses on over her black eye.

"I don't even want to celebrate my birthday this year anyway." Audrey shrugs and I frown.

"Why?" Zayn asks and Audrey looks at him through the dark glass of her shades.

"Because-never mind." She sighs and I feel my stomach clench.

"It was really nice meeting you though...seriously." Audrey says and looks over at the guests.

"Awe! It was nice meeting you too!" Ashely says sarcastically and rolls her eyes.

"I wasn't exactly talking to you." Audrey says and looks at Deborah. "Am I going alone?" She asks her.

"You shouldn't go at all. But you're right. You don't need to deal with their shit so I'm coming with you." Deborah says and stands from the circle.

"I think I'm going to stay here." Joseph says and Deborah laughs.

"Okay. Whatever." Deborah shrugs and Audrey giggles. That fucking giggle.

"Just kidding!" He exclaims and stands up from the circle. "Let's go ladies." He winks at Deborah and Audrey makes a gagging noise.

"Our night is literally ending at 10:00." Louis teases and Audrey attempts at a laugh but fails.

"Our night can go on without them." Ashely shrugs and I'm about ready to cuss her out.

"It really can't. Like we said: it's boring without Audrey." Zayn says and the boys laugh.

"Next time then?" Luke asks Audrey as he walks over to her.

"Y-yeah." She nods and he smiles at her, showing off his dimples...fucker.

"Good." He replays.

"I'm sorry for all the...uhh....tension tonight, guys. I really am." Audrey says and Niall rolls his eyes.

"Stop! Why do you always end up apologizing? You don't need to!" Niall yells and hugs Audrey goodbye.

"Yeah! Remember when you hit me with a pillow because I was apologizing for unnecessary things?" I ask her and she nods.

"Well." I pick up one of the decorative pillows and throw it at her. She laughs and throws it back.

"Whatever." She says and I laugh.

"Bye." Ashely snaps and Audrey's smile drops before she looks at Calum, Michael, and Ashton.

"It was nice to see you again....and it was nice to meet you." Audrey says and the three boys give her breif hugs.

"Bye!" Eleanor exclaims and hugs Audrey tightly.

"Bye." Audrey laughs and I watch as she hugs the rest of the people. Before my mind can catch up Audrey is out the door.

"Thank god that's over." Ashely says and sighs in relief.

"What the hell is your problem?!" I snap and she looks at me with slightly parted lips.

"My problem? I'm your girlfriend and you were spending half the night chasing after your ex-girlfriend!" She exclaims and I almost laugh.

"You were a complete bitch to her." I say and she scoffs.

"Well, yeah! She's beautiful...and-and selfless! I'm allowed to be jealous!" She argues.

"You know, Audrey said the same thing about you! While we were outside she told me that you were flawless and that I deserved someone as nice as you...how the hell did she come up with that?!" She closes her mouth and stands there in shock.

"She said that?" She says in disbelief.

"Yeah. She did. And the minute we came back inside you were calling her a pregnant whore! Do you understand how fucked up that is?!" I ask.

"Harry! She got knocked up by a guy that isn't her boyfriend!" I felt the anger bubbling up and I knew I was about to explode.

"You don't know anything! Audrey was raped by her boyfriend and then once he found out that he got her pregnant he left her!" I shut my mouth quickly and she widens her eyes.

"Dude...." Niall says and I looked at all the people I had just told.

"Shit!" I yell and I realized everyone was looking at the doorway.

Joseph stood there with wide eyes and white knuckles from gripping the doorknob too tightly.

"What the hell? Is this a fucking joke to you?! Do you understand what you just did?" He exclaims and I close my eyes.

"Yes! I didn't mean to say it! I was just so fucking angry!" I defend and he scoffs.

"Angry? You were angry?! Audrey trusted you with that information and you just told a bunch of people that barely even know her! If she finds out about this she will most likely rip your throat out! She-I can't even imagine what Deborah will do to you! As far as I'm concerned you're a dead man." Joseph seethes and I sigh.

"They wouldn't do anything." I say and he laughs.

"I sure as hell will." He says and his fist collides with my jaw, sending me backwards a bit. A rush of pain scorches my body and I nearly fall to the ground when I see Audrey at the doorway.

"Joseph!" Audrey shrieks and tugs on his arm

"How long have you been there?" Joseph asks her and she looks from me to him.

"I s-saw you hit him! I send you up here to grab my jacket and you punch him? How does that even happen?!" She exclaims and Joseph picks up Audrey's black cardigan from the back of the couch.

"Here you go! Now go back to the car." He says and she rolls her eyes.

"No. We've all had enough of each other for one night, you're coming with me." Audrey tugs him away from me and he flips me off before walking out of the condo.

"Did he just hit you because he's an ass or did he have a reason?" She asks me and I sigh.
"Both." I tell her and she rolls her eyes once again before leaving.

"So...so...damn." Ashton breathes and Louis scoffs.

"You're lucky Audrey wasn't the one at the door when you spilled her secret." He snaps.

"I know! I know! Fuck!" I rub the bruising skin on my jaw and Zayn chuckles.

"You sure as hell deserved that." Zayn says and everyone nods in agreement.
