Lala Land *BEING REDONE*
Camping - Part 2
I sat up in my tent, holding my still throbbing head. A light was turned on outside my tent as I heard another, "Psst."
"Yeah?" I asked squinting my eyes at the bright light.
"Can I come in?" I heard a familiar Irish accent.
"Sure."
Niall set the lantern down before opening my tent and climbing in. In his other hand, he held two mouthwatering s'mores. He set the lantern inside the tent and zipped the tent shut.
"You missed out on the s'mores, I figured you'd want one, and I made you two in case." He handed me the s'mores with a big smile.
"Thanks Niall."
"No problem," he laid on his side, propping one arm and the opposite leg up. "Are you okay?"
"Mhm." I nodded my head, lying to the blonde haired boy.
"Are you sure? You can tell me," even his eyes smiled to me.
"I'm just confused," I blurted out. Great, now I'm going to have to elaborate.
"About what?" He scrunched his eyebrows.
"Harry. One minute, he's a total asshole and the next he's trying to kiss me," I said shoving a s'more into my mouth. I'm not very lady-like when it comes to ranting and eating. Well, when I'm upset, I have the tendency to shove food in my mouth like a pig.
"He tried to kiss you? Taylor's gonna be pissed," Niall laughed.
"She was, at him."
"This is so good," Niall laughed harder.
"I don't see what's so funny," I pouted.
Niall sighed, "I wish I could tell you everything, but Harry and Taylor are not what they seem." What? What does that even mean? "You're just gonna have to trust me on this."
I've only known the guy for what, six hours, and I already feel like he's a close friend of mine. Maybe the fact that he brought me food sped up the process, but the fact of the matter was I did trust him. I just nodded at him and continued to enjoy my treats.
"So you really space out in class to Lala Land with Harry?" Niall playfully poked my shoulder.
"Does Holly really have to ruin everything?" I rolled my eyes and groaned.
Niall pinched my chipmunk cheeks, "Maybe she didn't ruin anything at all." He winked and made a 'tsk' noise with his tongue as he removed his hand from my face. "I should head off to bed."
"Okay, thank you for the s'mores," I smiled at him.
"You're welcome. And Lex, keep your head up," he smiled as he lightly brushed the back of his hand to my cheek. He took both of his hands and cupped my face, taking his thumbs and forcing a bigger smile on my face. "And wear that beautiful smile proudly."
A giggle escaped from my lips. "You're good at this."
"What?" he questioned while removing his hands from my face.
"Cheering me up."
"Well I'll let you in on a little secret." He got closer to me. "I actually enjoy your company and I wouldn't want to see you sad. Don't let Harry bother you, he doesn't mean to puzzle you. And I think you actually might have saved him."
Niall kissed me on the cheek and left me more confused than ever. Taylor and Harry are not what they seem? That sentence played over and over in my head, like a broken record. I can't quite put my finger on what that meant. And saved him? From what? What could a famous beauty like him possibly need saving from?
As confused as I was, Niall made me somewhat feel better. Or maybe it was my happy tummy filled with s'mores. Either way, it helped me fall asleep.
Harry laid on a canopy that was held up by two coconut trees. I laid at his side, resting my head in his neck and one of my hands on his chest. I was tracing the tattoos on his chest with my finger, knowing it soothes him. Many palm trees surrounded the area along with a circular stream of blue water. It was like we were on our own little mini island.
When I heard light snores escape from Harry's mouth I looked up to watch him sleep. He looked so peaceful and vulnerable. I loved seeing him like this. It made me happy knowing he could fall asleep in my arms.
I couldn't contain myself anymore as I sat up and climbed on top of him. I left him trails of kisses on his jawline before planting a gentle kiss on his lips.
"Mmm," he smacked his lips as he eyes opened. "That's a great way to wake up." I grinned widely as I sat up straight.
Suddenly, a coconut fell from one of the trees and hit the top of my head. "Well that's unfortunate."
When I woke up, the back of my head was pounding. I really hit that dock hard, no wonder that dream turned from amazing to stupid. I noticed a lantern sitting in the corner of my tent. Did Niall leave that in here last night? Next to the lantern, I saw a water bottle and a pill sitting beside a note. I crawled over to retrieve the note and read it:
Figured you could use some aspirin for that head of yours. Nobody needs to see you looking like a zombie from the pain. -H
I rolled my eyes but with a smile on my face. Why does this boy effect me so much?
I took the aspirin and chased it down with some water. Then I changed out of my shirt into my "I <3 NY" shirt. I groaned when I remembered that my plaid shirt was still wet. I can't wear that to hide this shirt. I removed my yoga pants and looked down at my kitty socks, just great. At least I have my boots to hide them. Shoot, my boots. I left them at the dock with my beanie. I face palmed before letting out a frustrated sigh. I put my red skinnies on and shoved my other clothes in the duffle bag.
Luckily my tent was closer to the docks so I figured I could sneak passed everyone and run over there without being seen. I unzipped my tent and poked my head outside. I scanned my surroundings, and not a person was in sight. I smiled and stepped out of my tent, zipping it up and starting to walk towards the docks.
"Where are you going, Sleepyhead?" I heard Liam shout out to me.
Of course, I couldn't see the campfire from my tent and that's where it seems everyone was, and I mean everyone.
I faced him with a smile, "I left my boots and my beanie at the dock last night. I was gonna go fetch them."
"I brought them back since you left in such a hurry," Harry pointed at the boots that sat near my tent while his other hand held a half eaten peanut butter sandwich. "I hope you don't mind I decided to borrow your beanie." He pointed at my red beanie that pushed the curls out of his face. Of course I don't mind, he looked so cute with it on. It went well with his dark blue tank top and gray skinny jeans. Oh that tank top, showing off his nice shoulder muscles and a few of his tattoos. I swear he is cursed with being beautiful.
"Thanks," I smile before grabbing my boots. "And I don't mind at all."
"Nice socks by the way," Harry smirked, using his pinky to point at my feet.
I put my boots on to cover them, "Thanks, my sister picked them out."
"Enough with the chit chat. Can we go now?" Holly groaned. I almost forgot she was here. Almost.
"Relax, Lex hasn't even eaten yet," Harry furrowed his eyebrows. I was glad he was looking out for me.
"Want to try some of my fish?" Louis asked me, holding up the skewer of fish he was cooking over the fire.
"Fish for breakfast? I don't think so," I gave him a funny look.
He stuck his tongue out at me. "More for me then."
"That fish put up quite a fight with you," Liam joked.
"Bloody thing, flopping everywhere," Louis mumbled. I giggled.
"Here, have some cereal and fruit," Niall said handing me a tiny box of Frosted flakes and a bag of strawberries. What is with this boy and handing me food? Not that I'm complaining.
"Thanks," I smiled as I opened both packages.
We all sat around and laughed about Louis's fish struggles as we finished our food. I noticed that Harry had his arm around Taylor's waist as we all conversed. It was like nothing happened last night at all.
Niall saw me eyeing Harry's arm with a frown. The Irish boy put his fingers on the corners of his mouth and forced a smile on his face, gesturing that's what I should do. I giggled at the face Niall made.
"What's so funny?" Holly crossed her arms. I guess I laughed a little louder than I anticipated.
"Sorry," I put my hand over my mouth, trying to hide my smile. Niall smiled at me as he put a strawberry in his mouth.
Holly pulled a round mirror out of her pink suitcase. Following the mirror, she took out a giant makeup kit as well.
"Damn, now I know where the Joker gets his makeup from." I couldn't help myself. We were camping and she brought every type of make up there was. When I said I brought makeup, all I brought was foundation and mascara. This girl went all out with that kit.
"Well I'm not going to look hideous where we're going," Holly waved her hands like I was stupid.
"Where are we going?" I raised an eyebrow at her and popped a frosted flake into my mouth.
"This is where you were so eager to go?" I was frustrated. She took us to the mall. The mall! I'm sure these people shop all the time, nor would they really even need to shop when they could get their clothes handmade.
"Yes, and I'm going to help you find something less disgusting to wear. Those shirts are out of style," Holly hummed. I looked down at my outfit and pouted. Curse Gail and her big brown eyes.
"I can't believe she dragged you guys here," I muttered to Taylor under my breath.
"It's fine, it'll be fun picking you girls something out to wear," Taylor grinned from ear to ear.
"I took you guys camping to help you guys get peace and quiet away from fans and she brings you guys out in the open," I rolled my eyes.
"It's no big deal. If it gets to be too much, we'll leave," Taylor put her hand on my shoulder and nodded. "And don't worry about the boys either. They won't mind viewing the clothes we try on. And let me tell you a secret, Louis is great at giving honest opinions about outfits as well."
I laughed, "Why doesn't that surprise me?"
"Only a few hours with them and you know them all so well," Taylor played with her hair.
We walked into a large clothing store that had expensive clothes everywhere.
"We can't shop here," I snapped at Holly with wide eyes.
"Why not?" Holly huffed.
"Because neither you or I can afford clothes like this," I pointed at her before pointing at me.
"You don't know what I can and can't afford," Holly glared.
I walked over to a random dress and read the price tag, my eyes wider than before. "Oh so you can afford this $1000 dress?"
"Maybe."
"Ladies, ladies, it's fine. We'll pay for the clothes," Niall offered.
"Oh, no. You are not caving in to her stupid and devious plan! This is what she wants Niall, for you guys to buy her clothes," I yelled while pointing at the girl who has no soul.
"It's really okay, we were actually planning on buying what you wanted anyways," Zayn smiled.
"Well, I'm not getting anything." I seriously didn't want them to buy me a thing. I only donated $30 to the Breast Cancer Foundation and 1D expects me to appreciate them for buying me a $1000 dress? No, I'll only feel guilty, knowing that money could go to a good cause as well.
"Yes you are," Taylor smiled and handed me a purple dress. She and Holly practically dragged me to the dressing room and shoved me into a stall. They wouldn't give me a choice.
I looked at the dress that sat on the hanger. The straps on the dress were beautifully covered with silver jewels that also outlined in between and the bottom of where my breasts would be. The royal purple dress was so shiny and so pretty. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it on.
I hesitantly took off my clothes and replaced it with the silky smooth dress. It was beautiful and it reflected any light that hit it. I noticed it had a triangular slit on each of my sides that showed off skin from underneath the jewels to the top of my hips. My back's skin was revealed until it reached the top of my hips, minus a strip of fabric that sat three inches thick beneath my shoulder blades. The purple dress flowed beautifully to the floor at all angles.
I decided I needed to look in a bigger mirror at it. I opened my stall door and stepped out to find Taylor, Holly and the boys standing before me. What creeps.
"Beautiful," Niall said, making my cheeks heat up.
Taylor jumped up and down in excitement as Holly nodded in approval. When I looked back at the boys, they all seemed stunned and at a loss for words. But Harry wasn't standing with them.
"He's not allowed in here," Taylor said as if she were reading my mind. Why wasn't he allowed in here?
"Get her this one, she doesn't even need to try on any others," Holly said to Taylor.
"Okay. Change out of it so I can go pay for it," Taylor instructed me. As puzzled as I was, I just went with it. I really didn't want them to buy me a thing, but it seems my opinions didn't matter.
After I changed, we didn't even shop for anything else. I thought we were here to watch Miss Holly shop since she feels the need to run the world. But no, she didn't buy a thing or have anyone buy her anything. Maybe she just wanted me to look like the selfish one. Bitch.
"We have to be there in three hours," Holly told Taylor.
"You hear that boys? You have three hours to change and meet us there," Taylor waved her index finger at the boys. Each of them just nodded their heads.
"Lexington, you're coming with Holly and I to get ready," Taylor smiled.
"Okay." What else was I supposed to say? There was something they weren't telling me and I was so confused.
Harry leaned forward so his mouth was by my ear, "I can't wait to see you in that dress." Chills ran down my spine as his hot breath left my neck. He gave me a wink and a pearly white smile before walking out with the boys.
What is happening? Seriously?
