I wish I could say the week flew by quickly, but as usual, it didn't. My life is the most boring thing you can think of, considering each day is like a broken record. Everyday I get up, eat breakfast, go to school, get a snarky comment from Holly, get cheered up by my friends, come home, eat some more, watch TV, do homework and sleep. It's the same thing all the time but that could change. That is if I win the contest today.

When I got out of bed, I decided to wear a pretty dress today. I'm usually not one to dress up, but One Direction was coming to our school. How could I not? The dress I chose was a long sleeved, navy blue dress that stopped a few inches above my knees. I loved this dress because it outlined my skinny figure.

I put some makeup on, but not too much. I don't want to look like a clown when I see them. Then, I brushed my hair and parted most of it to the side like usual. Then I grabbed my black heels and walked down the stairs. After I quickly ate something, I slid the heels on and went out the door. 1D, here I come.

It wasn't until lunch that the announcement was being made. I was so impatient all day that I couldn't even day dream about Harry. The anxiety was killing me.

"Do I get to meet your boyfriend before he takes you on a date?" Graham leaned onto my desk.

I glared at him, "No."

"Why not? I think I should have a talk with him before I lose you to him forever," I saw a smirk appear on his face, but he seemed somewhat serious.

"Graham, he's dating Taylor Swift, for one. And second of all, what makes you think you'll lose me forever?"

"The fact that I know you'll win," he smiled at me.

"I hope I do."

"I hope you do too. I wouldn't want to see that pretty dress go to waste," Graham said as he tugged on the arm of my dress.

"Is it too much?" I only asked because fans probably dress up for them all the time. Maybe I should've stuck to casual clothes.

"Nothing could ever be too much on you," Graham smiled as he brushed my nose with his thumb. I hugged him tight, happy to have a great friend like him.

Graham locked his arm with mine as we walked into the cafeteria. A crowd was forming around the stage at the other end of the room. We walked through the crowd, arms still locked until we reached the front of the stage. There they were, One Direction stood before me on the stage.

There was Liam, chuckling with Zayn about something. And Louis was doing some tricks with his microphone, causing some girls to scream. Niall was talking to the principal of our school while pointing at the fish bowl of names. And then there was Harry. He looked so cute in his plain white v-neck, wearing a black blazer over it. He wore some black skinny jeans and some plain white vans to match.

Attached to his hip was her, Taylor. She looked as flawless as ever. She wore bright red lipstick that matched her dress and heels perfectly. Her dress was strapless and flowed to her knees in the front and the floor in the back.

Graham chuckled, possibly sensing my jealousy. I watched as Harry gave Taylor a beautiful smile, showing off his dimples. I felt sad as I witnessed the rumors being true. They are totally dating.

"AHEM," I heard Louis say into his microphone. "It seems we are ready to see who the lucky winner is." The whole cafeteria got dead quiet, everyone giving 1D their full attention. "Now since Niall begged your poor principal for a good thirty minutes, he's going to be the one pulling the name out of the bowl." Everyone started laughing. Niall is hilarious.

"You ready Nialler?" Louis asked. Niall gave Louis a nod in response. Before Louis handed Niall the microphone he asked, "Can I get a drum roll please?"

Zayn, Louis, Liam, Harry and Taylor all began drumming their legs. The crowd soon joined them and I laughed as Graham was practically abusing himself throughout his drum roll.

Niall shakes the bowl before pulling a piece of paper out.

"The winner is," he paused. "HOLLY STEPHENSON!"

Fuck my life!
