Lala Land *BEING REDONE*
Louis's Birthday - Part 2
I stared down at my phone blankly. Should I call him? I can't. I won't. What if it's an emergency? Uhg.
"What's wrong?" Ryann pointed to my phone.
I placed my phone onto the coffee table, "Nothing."
"You sure?"
"Yeah it's fine."
Ryann pointed her thumb to the door, "Come help me pick a dress out."
"Help me pick mine out first, and then I'll bring my stuff to your room so we can get ready together."
"Deal," Ryann smiled. She ran to my suitcase and immediately began throwing things out of it. "You should really unpack your stuff. You know there's a dresser and a closet, right?"
I rolled my eyes, "Yes Ryann, I am aware of that. I haven't exactly had time to unpack."
Ryann threw a shirt at me, "Are just gonna stand there or are you going to help me look?"
I chuckled and joined her search. After a while, we came to the conclusion that I had nothing to wear. Literally. I didn't have any party dresses because I don't go to parties. I’m boring, remember?
"Why don't you grab your hair and makeup stuff and come to my room? You can borrow one of my dresses."
"Thank God we're the same size," I laughed.
Ryann nodded, "Agreed. Now hurry up."
When she left, I went to the bathroom and gathered my things into my messenger bag. I know I was already wearing makeup, but Ryann is an expert at makeup and I know she’ll give me the touchups I need. My hair is already curled, but I’ll probably want my hair up since clubs are supposed to be hot from being crowded.
I started walking towards the front door, but I spotted my phone on the coffee table again. I sighed and grabbed it off the table, reading the message again. If it was an emergency, I’m pretty sure he would’ve called me first. It’s fine. He can wait. I slid my phone into my purse and left the room.
Ryann’s clothes were all hung up in her closet and let me just tell you, she has lots of dresses. I guess that’s one of the benefits of having a sister who lives to party. It took us a while, but we finally picked out our dresses and got our hair all pretty.
Ryann was wearing a long sleeved cheetah print dress that barely covers her butt. It shows off about half of her back and a bit of her cleavage. The greatest part about this dress was that it outlined her perfectly fit body. She looked stunning. With the dress, she wore shiny black high heel boots. Her hair was up into a braided side-bun to go along with her ‘wild side’ theme. We took about thirty minutes getting Ryann’s hair styled the way we wanted it to, but I love the way it turned out.
My dress? Well I’m not proud of it, but it’s a short, silver, strapless dress. Why am I not proud of it? I know it’s either going to pop one of my boobs out or ride up my butt and show off my lacey underwear. So yeah, not proud of it, but Ryann loves it. This dress also highlights my skinny figure, which I really love. With the dress, I wore some smoky grey ankle boots. We put my hair up into an exploding bun, this way any lose hair is no big deal since it’s curled. Lastly, there’s my makeup. Ryann didn’t change a thing besides my lipstick shade. She gave me a dark purple shade to wear and told me it’d look better with the silver dress.
Knock Knock! The boys are here, perfect timing. I placed my phone, ID, and cash into the grey clutch that matched my heels. I heard Ryann open the door and the boys immediately gasp in awe. I giggled to myself knowing I was the one who convinced her to wear that dress. She kept insisting I wear it, but I figured it fit her personality more.
“Aww thank you.” I could hear Ryann’s cheeks sizzling. Not really, I just knew she was totally blushing.
Then, I heard a raspy voice speak up, “Where’s Lex? Is she ready?”
“I’m right here,” I grinned as I walked out of the bedroom and towards them. I watched as Harry scanned my body from head to toe. When he caught me looking at him, he got flustered and looked to the floor. Aww, Harold.
He looked pretty damn fine as well. He had on a white buttoned shirt with black polka dots on it. Over the shirt, he wore a black blazer to match his skinnies. Last but not least, he wore black ankle boots, men’s ankle boots of course.
“Hey look, we match!” I walked over to Harry and held my boots next to his. “Guess we have the same style, Styles,” I winked. He just shook his head with a grin and kissed my cheek. I think he’s completely speechless, it’s so adorable.
Niall wrapped his arm around Ryann’s waist, “Let’s go.” I totally ship Nyann or Riall. Whatever, we’ll figure out their names when it happens.
Outside of the club were lots of paparazzi. Great, time to hide again.
“Here’s the deal,” Louis clapped his hands. “It’s my birthday party, so this bar was rented out just for me. All of my friends, family, and staff are in there.” He turned his body towards me, “Lexie, today you’re not hiding. You and Harry are going to show off that you know each other.” What? Really? Oh my gosh, I’m so excited.
“There are no paparazzi allowed inside, so once you get in, you can ditch him,” Zayn added.
Liam joked, “I would.”
“Thanks Lee,” Harry glared.
“Anyways, Ryann, you’re allowed to show yourself too if you’d like,” Niall smiled. “People are going to see Lex’s video and figure out it was you here anyways.”
She shrugged, “Eh, whatever.”
“I also invited Taylor,” Louis said. “So Lexie, you might as well bond with her since you’ll be spending time with her later in the week.”
I nodded in agreement, but my nods were stopped by two hands cupping my cheeks. “Are you sure you want to do this?” Harry asked. Once we do this, there’s no going back. Now’s the chance to change my mind, but the thing is…I don’t want to.
“I’ve never been more positive of anything,” I stroked one of his hands. Then I leaned forward and gave him a passionate kiss on the lips. I giggled as I removed the purple mark I left on his lips from my lipstick.
“Okay then, here goes nothing. See you guys in there,” Louis waved. Louis was the first to leave the vehicle, followed by Liam and Zayn. Next was Niall and Ryann. Then, it was Harry and I’s turn.
“I am kind of scared,” I admitted. This is a big deal. The whole world is about to see me with Harry Styles yet again but for real this time. I’m about to be known as Harry’s new ‘mystery girl.’ This is actually happening.
He intertwined our fingers, “Don’t be. I’m right here.” I nodded and took a deep breath. I adjusted my dress with my free hand before exiting the limo with Harry freaking Styles. I know it sounds weird, but sometimes I forget he’s even famous. He and the boys are so normal that they’d fit in as everyday friends.
We stepped out of the limo and stood before the roaring paparazzi. I adjusted my dress again and waved to the cameras.
“Harry, who is that?” a reporter shouted.
He leaned down and whispered into my ear, “Should we tell them your name, or let them figure it out?”
“Let them find out on their own,” I whispered back. I’d probably sound like I’m in it for the fame if I let him tell them. I’d rather be a mystery for a while.
Harry just waved to the reporters as his answer. We posed for a couple of pictures, for a little bit, making funny faces as we did. We wouldn’t be us without looking silly. Then, we finally entered the building.
“How was it?” he nudged my arm with his elbow.
I shook his arm and squealed, “That was the coolest thing I’ve ever done!”
“Glad you had fun,” he chuckled.
“AHEM!” the DJ cleared his throat into the microphone. “Let’s get this party started!”
The crowded bar began cheering. I scanned the room to see familiar faces. Ashley Benson, Dylan O’ Brien, Eleanor Calder, Perrie Edwards, Lou Teasdale and of course, Taylor Swift. There were way more people there, I just didn't recognize all of them.
“This is amazing,” I looked wide-eyed at Harry. “I don’t even know what to do with myself.”
“Why don’t I sit you down with Taylor?” he suggested.
I nodded, “Okay.” We walked over, hand-in-hand to Taylor’s booth. Also at her booth was Perrie and some other girl.
“Hello Ladies,” Harry waved. “Would you mind if Lexington joined you?”
Perrie patted the empty space next to her, “No, not at all.”
“Ditching her already?” Taylor glared at Harry. Awkward.
“It’s fine. I wanted to hang out with you anyways,” I smiled and sat next to Perrie.
Harry rubbed my shoulder, “I’ll be back in a little bit.”
“Okay.” And off he went. I turned to Perrie and held my hand out, “Hello, I’m Lexington Reed.”
She gladly shook my hand, “Perrie Edwards.”
“You’re Zayn’s fiancé, right?” She nodded her head. “Well, congratulations.”
“Thank you.”
I held my hand out to the other girl, “Lexington. And you are?”
“Danielle Peazer,” she accepted my handshake. “I’m Liam’s ex.”
“Oh really?” I was surprised that Liam would let his ex-girlfriend come to Louis’s party.
“Yeah, but we’re friends.”
“Well I’m glad it somewhat worked out,” I smiled.
She looked confused, “What? No ‘What happened’?”
I chuckled, “I wouldn’t ask that, it's not my business. Besides, I wouldn’t want anyone asking me about my ex-boyfriends.”
Perrie happily gasped, “I like this girl!”
“Thanks,” I smiled. I may seem completely cool right now, but I’m freaking out on the inside. Perrie Edwards likes me.
“We should all go out to lunch while you’re here,” Danielle suggested.
Taylor hugged Perrie’s arm, “That’s a great idea. I have to hang out with her anyways. I’m sure management would be happy if 1D’s girls hung out with Lexie as well.”
“Why do you guys have to hang out?” Perrie furrowed her brows.
“Didn’t you see them holding hands?” She pointed to me, “This is the girl I was talking about.”
“Oh,” Danielle cooed. “So you're Harry’s girl.”
“Well, I wouldn’t say that,” I blushed.
Taylor leaned over Perrie’s lap and playfully hit me, “You’re his girl. Just accept it.”
“Maybe,” I giggled.
Perrie pressed her hand to my shoulder, “Aww, look at her, all flustered.” I just giggled.
“I really think she’d be good for Harry,” Taylor smiled to me while talking to the other girls.
“You think she can handle that?” Danielle laughed and pointed towards Harry. Harry was on the dance floor being the lunatic he is.

All the girls and I busted out laughing.
“You like that?” Perrie pointed to Harry.
“I do,” I nodded my head. “That right there, that’s one of the things I like about Harry. He doesn’t care how foolish he looks. He’s who he wants to be, regardless of what anyone else says.”
“Well said,” Danielle grinned.
Perrie pointed back at the dance floor, “You have your cub, and I have mine.” Zayn had one of his hands on Harry’s back and the other holding one of Harry’s legs up. He lifted Harry off the floor and began twirling in circles, while Harry tried to look like a ballerina.
I clapped, “Oh my gosh, look at those dorks go.”
“And they’re not even drunk yet,” Danielle waved her finger.
“Oh God,” I rolled my eyes with a smile.
“Speaking of drinks, would you like one?” Taylor offered.
I shrugged, “Sure, but I’ve never drank before.”
“Never?” Perrie looked shocked.
“I live in America,” I giggled. “I’m not legal till a little over two years from now.”
“Oh that’s right,” Perrie face palmed.
Danielle turned her attention to me, “Well, you can drink here so I’ll surprise you with one.”
“Oh, thank you.” I put my clutch onto the table and began pulling out cash.
“Wow, you’re sweet,” Danielle blocked my hand. “But it’s on me.”
“Thanks,” I beamed as I closed my clutch back up. Danielle just nodded and left the table.
Taylor pointed to my purse, “That’s a cute clutch, where’d you get it?”
“It’s my friend Ryann’s. She’s around here somewhere.”
Taylor leaned forward, “She’s the girl who yelled at Holly in the cafeteria, right?”
“That’s her,” I chuckled. “Can you blame her? It really wasn’t fair that Holly went.”
“Who’s Holly?” Perrie chimed in.
Taylor rolled her eyes, “The other contest winner. No one really liked her, they just tolerated her.”
“Louis totally likes her,” I growled.
Eleanor Calder came out of nowhere and stood before us, “Louis likes who?”
“Holly Stephenson,” I answered with a disgusted look.
“Nah, I think he just was able to bear with her more than all of us,” Taylor shrugged and leaned back into her seat. “Hey Eleanor.”
“Hello, can I join?” she pointed to the table.
Perrie grinned, “Of course, just squeeze in.”
Eleanor took Danielle’s seat and then pointed to me, “Lexington, right?”
“Yup,” I said popping the ‘p’.
She smiled, “Pleasure to meet you, I’m Eleanor. Harry’s told me a lot about you.”
“He has?” I’m confused. Eleanor seems to be closest to Louis in all the magazine’s and pictures of them I’ve seen. She hangs out with all the boys quite a lot, but I always thought something was going on between her and Louis. I mean, she just came over and asked about him. Sort of.
Taylor laughed, “Here, let me explain. Eleanor and Louis are like best friends, right? Unfortunately, hanging out with him means she has to hang out with Harry since the two boys live together.”
“Oh, that makes sense,” I rubbed my neck.
“You thought something was going on between her and Louis, didn’t you?” Perrie giggled.
“Well yeah. Those magazines are pretty convincing.”
Eleanor grinned, “He’s something else, I’ll tell you that, but nothing’s going on between us.”
“Yet,” Taylor smirked at Eleanor.
“Yet,” Eleanor added to her original statement.
“You’re secret’s safe with me,” I pretended to zip my mouth, lock it, and toss the imaginary key behind me.
Danielle walked over and placed a pink drink in front of me, “I brought you a Watermelon Margarita, it’s one of my favorites.”
I nodded, “Thank you.”
“Hey Eleanor,” Danielle sat next to the brunette.
“Hey,” Eleanor grinned and hugged Danielle.
We sat around the table for a good hour telling stories about the boys. I told them about Harry chasing after my car while wearing an Afro; I think one of my favorite stories so far. By this time, the girls were all mostly drunk. I may be slightly buzzed since I just started my third drink. After I finished my margarita, Perrie bought me a Skinny Mojito. I guess it’s supposedly ‘better’ for you since it has diet lemon lime soda in it. After I finished that drink, I went and bought my own. I decided to go for a Budweiser beer since I’ve always wanted to try it.
I hadn’t even really looked for Ryann, but I knew if she needed me, she’d find me. She’s probably making out with Niall, or maybe that’s what I just hope is happening. Is it weird that I want them to date? They’re like perfect for each other, minus the fact that Ryann is tougher than Niall.
“And that’s when I found Harry…” Taylor could barely say because she was laughing so hard. “…with his foot stuck…in the toilet.” We all cracked up at those words. What an idiot.
“Hey Ladies,” Harry slid into the seat next to me. I stifled my laughter in my hands. “What’s so funny?”
I began laughing harder and blurted out, “I can’t believe you thought you could dance while standing on a toilet seat.”
“Taylor!” His jaw dropped, but he continued to smile.
She gave him a goofy grin, “What? I couldn’t resist!”
“I regret leaving you with them,” Harry pouted.
“Aww, don’t be embarrassed,” I rubbed his leg. “You’re still cute.”
“This is so adorable,” Perrie cooed.
Harry ignored Perrie, “Thanks Lex. Come on.” He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the booth.
“My beer,” I whined.
“You can go back and drink it in a couple of minutes,” he continued pulling me. “We need to do something real fast.”
“What are we doing?”
Just then, the music stopped. The DJ tapped the microphone before speaking into it, “Everyone gather around! We have a special performance for the birthday boy by the one-and-only Harry Styles.”
“Hey, that’s you,” I giggled.
“And by Louis’s request, Harry will be joined by Lexington Reed,” the DJ continued.
I felt my stomach drop, “What?”
“You are going to sing with me,” Harry grinned. “I know you probably don’t want to but-“
I interrupted him, “No, no, no. It’s okay. You just caught me off-guard, that’s all.” For once, I was willing to sing. I won’t deny I was nervous, but do you blame me? All of these celebrities were going to watch me sing. But for some reason, I wanted to do this. Maybe it was the alcohol in my system or maybe it’s just the part of me who wants to sing for Tommy. No matter the reason, I’m happy to sing with Harry Styles.
“You sure? Because I don’t want to pressure you,” he cupped my cheeks.
“Let’s do this,” I nodded.
We walked up to the small stage that was in the bar and sat on the two stools that sat before microphones. Harry was handed a guitar by some random guy I’ve never seen in my life.
I smirked, “Oh, Harry plays guitar.”
“It’s one of my many talents,” Harry said cockily.
“Talents? What talents?” I tilted my head to the side. My joke received a roar of laughter from the crowd.
“GO LEXIBOO!” I heard Niall shout.
Harry shrugged, “Alright well here we go.” He began playing the guitar.
“It’d help if I knew what song we were singing, Harold,” I said into the microphone. More laughter spread through the crowd.
Harry face palmed, “Oh yeah.”
“Yeah,” I mocked him.
“YOU TELL HIM GIRL!” Perrie shouted.
Taylor followed Perrie’s words with a scream, “WOO!”
“Do you know the song ‘Eighteen Cool’ by Hoodie Allen,” Harry asked me.
“As a matter of fact, I do,” I grinned.
“Alright guys, here’s ‘Eighteen Cool’,” Harry told the crowd.
Harry started the song with the guitar before harmonizing:
Da da dadadada
Da da dadadada
Da da dadadada
I raised up my hands, “We All-American!” I received a few laughs since I am an American. That’s part of the song, Fools.
Harry continued the song:
Yeah, I said party over here
Call up everybody we know
I watched his head point towards me as he sung, “This is for the women who be feeding off my ego.”
I pretended to be shocked as he continued to sing:
Tell 'em that I made it
'Cause I listen to my haters
Took what they said and negated
Yeah I played it like I'm Tebow.
Pour me out another one
Take a shot and reload
Girls be waiting for me
Got them lining up like free throws.
Everywhere that we go
They say I'm their favorite but
I see that you been faking
I cut him off and began singing the next part:
Baby I know how to make it in America
Doing what we love and we passionate
“Your girl is cashing it,” I held up my hand like I was rubbing money. Harry just rocked back and forth as he continued to play the guitar.
Kourtney Kardashian
You pulled up with some honey bees
And I pulled out with half of them
'Cause I ain't going home
If I ain't going with the baddest chick
Then we harmonized together:
I gave the crowd a thumbs up, “Thumbs up to my friends drinking whiskey.”
“Peace out to the girls that'll miss me.” Harry gave Taylor a peace sign. I could practically hear her rolling her eyes.
He and I both flipped off the 1D boys, “Middle finger to the dudes back in high school.”
'Cause you peaked at eighteen, cool
Ohhh
Ohhh
'Cause you peaked at eighteen, cool
Ohhh
Ohhh
You make me look so good.
Harry jumped straight to the third verse, or in the bridge, whatever you want to call it:
Four years gone by
Look back and you outta your prime
But the cool kids never gonna miss me
It's all history, it's all history
I sung the last half of the bridge:
Four years denied
Fuck that let's party tonight
But the cool kids never gonna miss me
Mi-mi-miss me miss me
Harry stopped playing and clapped his hands to get the audience to clap with him. Soon I joined his clapping and we began harmonizing again:
Thumbs up to my friends drinking whiskey.
Peace out to the girls that'll miss me.
Middle finger to the dudes back in high school.
'Cause you peaked at eighteen, cool
Ohhh
Ohhh
'Cause you peaked at eighteen, cool
Ohhh
Ohhh
You make me look so good.
After the last line, my finishing pose was to place my elbow on Harry’s shoulder and form a peace sign with my fingers. I noticed Harry make a duck face and cross his arms. We’re interesting people.
The audience clapped and cheered for us, half of them even stood from their seats to clap. This is amazing.
“Thank you guys,” I waved. Then it happened, right on stage. Harry kissed me on the lips in front of all of his friends, staff, and Louis’s family. This is crazy. This means the witnesses can say to any reporters that they saw us kissing at Louis’s party.
I just smiled into the kiss and kissed him back. In this moment, I was the happiest girl alive.
He pulled away with a grin that showed off his adorable dimples. “Ravishing, just ravishing,” he whispered to me. I just giggled and blushed, getting all shy. He shall be the death of me.
We all really started to drink after everyone ate Louis’s delicious birthday cake. The boys started having me and Ryann drink shots. Yes, Ryann finally appeared out of nowhere. She hadn’t even had a drink yet, I guess, so the boys begged her join me. She finally caved in and drank a couple of shots, but she only let herself get buzzed. Most likely because she doesn’t want to turn out like her sister, and I can understand that completely.
After my fourth shot, I knew I was piss-drunk. I knew this because the stupidest thing was on my mind, ‘Call Graham’.
“Let’s dance,” Harry’s raspy voice filled my ear.
“In a minute,” I giggled. “I need to make a phone call.”
“Okay, you know where to find me when you’re done,” he poked my nose before wobbling to the dance floor.
I made my way to the bar’s bathroom for some reason. Why didn’t I go outside? No idea. I walked into a stall and sat my butt down onto a toilet before pulling my phone out of my clutch. I found myself giggling hysterically at Graham’s name in my phone: Graham’s Eyes are the Devil’s O.O
When I calmed my laugh for the most part, I dialed his number.
“Hello?” his voice sounded heavy.
“G!” my voice echoed throughout the bathroom. “Whoa, I can hear my own voice.”
“X?”
“Hi,” I waved at my phone as if he could see me.
“What’s up?”
I slurred my words, “You told me to call you so here I am.”
“Oh, I just wanted to hear your voice.”
“HI!” I yelled into the phone. “Did you hear me?”
I heard him laugh, “I might never be able to hear again.”
I gasped, “You mean you’re deaf? So you won’t hear what I have to say then.”
“Lex I was-“
I interrupted him with my drunk rambling, “Your damn eyes, Man. They’re freaking beautiful. You know you’re name in my phone is ‘Graham’s Eyes are the Devil’s’ because I’m trying to remind myself not to look at those things.”
“Lex-“
“And your face, you hair, everything about you. You’re just so sexy. And the worst part is that you’re extremely nice. You’re so nice,” I whispered the last part.
This time he stayed quiet, but I continued anyways. “I’ve always liked you G, and I hate myself for liking you now. And you know what sounds really good right now? Tacos. They sound fantastic.”
“I’m not deaf,” he finally said. His voice was so bland, I couldn’t tell what he was feeling.
“Oh. Boop,” I pressed the ‘return’ button on the keyboard of my iPhone. “Don’t worry, I just returned the words to my head.”
“X, are you drunk?”
I stumbled on my words, “Maybe a little.”
“Where are you? I’ll come get you. It’s not safe for you to drive.”
“That’s okay, Harry’s here.”
“Harry?”
“Yeah.”
“But isn’t it Louis’s birthday or something?”
“Yeah, we’re at his party!” I bounced on the toilet seat.
“You’re in England right now?”
I thought about it for a second, “I’m in a bathroom stall.”
He sighed, “I should go.”
“Okay, bye Graham!” I waved at the phone once again before ending the call and placing my phone back into my clutch.
I walked out of the bathroom and made my way to the dance floor. I didn’t even look for Harry, I just started to dance since I was distracted by a good song that was playing. I began swaying my hips to the music and waving my hands in the air. Out of nowhere, I found myself rolling my hips seductively. It sure was seductive since someone came up behind me and grabbed my hips. I felt him grind on me, making me grin like a kid in a candy shop. I, Lexington Reed, am being grinded by someone. I felt like I had all the power, since I was turning this guy on.
I started swaying my hips again, squatting to the floor slowly as I did. As I stood back up, I slid my hands up his legs and to his waist. He pulled me in closer to him and wrapped his arms around my waist, and began swaying and bouncing us in a fast pace. Before I knew it, his lips were connected to my neck, sending a moan out of my mouth. He placed his hand on my cheek and turned my head so he could plant a big, sloppy, wet kiss on my lips. I didn’t even care what I was doing, I was enjoying myself, so I gripped his hair and slid my tongue into his mouth. This felt good and it was fun. I can’t believe what I’m doing.
He broke the kiss and whispered into my ear, “Let’s go to my place.”
I nodded my head and allowed him to grab my hand and lead me out of the club.
I woke up with a piercing headache. So this is what a hangover feels like, I HATE IT. Where am I? I started searching the room for clues. This isn’t mine or Ryann’s suites, the sheets are grey. I lifted the sheets to peak at my clothes to see I wasn’t wearing my dress anymore, but I wasn’t naked either. I was wearing a navy blue button up shirt and my lacey underwear.
It’s when I looked to the right of me that I was shocked, “Niall?”
“Yeah,” he said awkwardly. F*** my life.
