Acting For Love
Coffee with Them
"You will really love them! I swear!" Terry laughs, stopping at a red light. "I promise, if you don't, we can leave."
"You say that now, but if I want to leave, you will totally ignore me!" I laugh. Terry had begged me to join her, because she was getting coffee with the boys, and their girlfriends. Just minutes ago, I had accepted.
"Liam!" Terry cries, when Terry and I see the coffee shop. Terry runs up to him as fast as she can, in heels. She jumps in his arms. I wish I were always that happy to see someone. But my manager, Linda always says, I have to stay single. For the public.
"Terry! I missed you, love! Where is Emory?" Liam says. I walk slowly to the coffee shop, but it feels weird because everyone was waiting for me. But I keep walking slowly. I hear some giggles, but that just makes me walk slower. I was a bit shy. The total opposite of funny, outgoing and perfect Terry. When I get to them, I smile and shake the rest of the boys hands, and their girlfriends. I had already met Liam.
"Would you like to go inside?" Liam asks, holding the door open. We go inside, but I kiss Liam's cheek as we enter. It's just a little thing I do to bug Terry.
"So, Emmy, are you in any movies lately?" Louis asks. I was slurping a strawberry-banana smoothie.
"Uh, yeah. I am starring in this movie called Not A Love Story. It's is supposed to be really good." I reply almost choking on my smoothie.
"The book is very good." Harry says quietly. I turn to him.
"You like the book? I love the book! I have read it over a million times!" I burst out. Then I cover my mouth. Smooth, Emory, smooth. Everyone was staring at me.
"Haha! I love the book too!" Harry says nearly jumping out of his seat.
"I would love you, but I wouldn't like to!" We both say at the same time. That was my favorite line from the book, I am guessing it was his too. We both burst out laughing, Terry blushing like crazy. I felt something. Something I really don't get to feel often. It made me feel like Harry, was special. I never wanted to leave. I wanted Harry.
