Keep Me Safe

Niall’s POV
After Emma went into the bathroom, I went into my room to get changed. I pulled off my shirt and pants leaving just my boxers on. Should I put more on? I want her to feel comfortable, and I really want to get her to sleep in my room with me not only because I really like her, I also want her to be as pain free as possible. I heard the bathroom door open and footsteps followed. I didn’t have any more time to think about it. Boxers it is. I walked to the living room where I saw Emma about to lay back on the couch. “You don’t have to sleep on the couch you’ll be uncomfortable.” I said. I think I might have scared her a little, oops. “No it’s alright I’ll be okay.” She said. I was a bit disappointed by her response. Time to step up my game. I walked over to her and grabbed her hands, looking into her eyes. “You can sleep in my bed I’ll take the couch.” I said knowing she would never agree and would probably give in. “Look Niall, that’s very sweet, but I can’t make you sleep on the couch in your own house.” She said with an adorable smile. She really is putting up I fight, but I can tell I almost got her. “Then don’t.” I said with a grin. She looked a little surprised and didn’t reply. “Just sleep with me I don’t want you to have to be alone.” I said I am practically begging at this point I just want her to say yes. “Niall I don’t kno-“ she started to say. I interrupted her, in a calm voice, “I won’t do anything, don’t worry you won’t even know I’m there.” “but I-“ she began again. Okay that’s it I want her so bad, I interrupted her again, this time with a kiss. I still can’t believe how she makes me feel every time we kiss. I couldn’t believe she was actually kissing me back this time. Like for real. She pulled away and I could tell she was out of breath and was giving in. “Ok Ok, you win.” She said. Yes!!!! I led her to my bedroom and we got into bed. I laid far enough away from her to be sure I wouldn’t touch her. I didn’t want her to leave. Then I felt her moving closer to me. Oh my god is she really going to lay like this. This is exactly how I wanted this to play out, and my heart started to beat faster. “You don’t mind if I’m closer to you do you?” she asked “Of course I don’t mind. I was hoping you would.” I said in a whisper. I moved my arm slowly around her waist. Please please please let me do this. “You don’t care if I put my arm around you right?” I asked. “I don’t mind.” She said turning her head to look at me. She quickly kissed me and turned around. What just happened? Did she really kiss me first? This is the best night ever! “Goodnight Niall” she said. “Night Em” I said smiling to myself trying not to sound like an idiot. I closed my eyes and fell asleep with her in my arms.
