Keep Me Safe

Emma’s POV
The VMA’s are today! Niall and Harry invited Victoria and I to go with them but, we decided it would be safer for us to be away from the fans and just stay home and watch on TV. Then, Harry and Niall practically begged us to go saying that we would be sitting with them the entire time except for a tiny bit if they win an award. “I don’t know if it’s such a good idea babe. I mean the fans don’t even know about Victoria and Harry they’ll tear her apart.” I said ignoring what they were just explaining to us. “They’re going to find out sooner or later. Besides, El, Sofia, and Perrie will be there with you if we get called up on stage.” Niall said looking at me with pleading eyes. I sighed a sigh of defeat knowing that I couldn’t say no to him. I looked to Victoria who gave me a small nod with the same look of defeat as me. “Ok, ok fine. We’ll go.” I hardly got the sentence out before Niall nearly tackled me into a bear hug. “Thank you!” he yelled while squeezing me. I giggled and pulled away just enough so that we were face to face. “Only because I love you.” I giggled and quickly pecked his lips. He smiled at me and squeezed me just a little tighter if that’s even possible. Still in his arms I say, “Tori, we should get ready.” “Yeah let’s go.” She says before pulling out of Harry’s arms and I pull out of Niall’s. “You guys have like three hours before we have to leave. Why are you already getting ready?” Harry asked. “Beauty takes time!” We both say as we are half way up the stairs. They just roll their eyes with a smile and go sit on the couch. We go upstairs and we both know exactly what we want to wear because they are basically the only fancy dresses we have so we immediately get dressed. We sit in my room while we apply makeup. We both go for a natural look because we aren’t big fans of a ton of makeup. “So, did you and Harry you know do anything last night?” I asked as I was applying some blush. She looked at me shocked and then laughed lightly, “No, did you guys?” she asked firing back at me. “No I’m not ready for that yet.” I said. Can you blame me? The only time I’ve ever had sex is when I got raped by Mike. Which was often but still it was never out of love. “Yeah same with me.” she replied. We go into the bathroom and pull out curling irons and curl our hair into lose curls. We clipped our hair into different styles and headed down stairs. Oh crap! It just hit me that I still haven’t told me parents about Niall and I. I got so distracted I guess I just forgot. It’s not a huge deal; my parents never really cared about me anyway that’s why they kicked me out just before I left for London. I just think they deserve to know. “I’ll be right back.” I say to Victoria before turning back up the stairs. I turn on my phone and call my mom. She didn’t answer but she never answers my calls so I leave a message. I’m about to go downstairs but then my phone buzzes, it’s from my mom it says, “OK.” Really she couldn’t have just answered the phone? That’s really all she had to say to me? I go downstairs and Niall’s eyes widen. I blush and smile as walk over to him. “Wow. You look absolutely gorgeous.” He said looking me over. I laugh and blush harder, “Thanks.” “Alright well let’s get going.” I say taking Niall’s hand. We all walk out the door and get into the car. I try calming my nerves but, I can’t help but feel that something is going to happen me. Something always does.
