Keep Me Safe

Victoria’s POV
Harry and I are playing Twister and all of a sudden I find myself over him. Our faces are inches apart. I don’t know how Emma did it but I’m sure she had something to do with it. I looked into Harry’s eyes for the first time. They are a sparkling green. I’ve never noticed how beautiful they are, I’ve never let myself look at him long enough to noticed. Butterflies formed in my stomach, what am I saying? I don’t like him I’ll never like him like that. I know his reputation with girls. He gets what he wants and leaves. At least that’s what the press says, and I know you can’t always trust the press but, I don’t want to get hurt, and I’ve seen enough to know that I should stay away. I looked away and just watched Emma. Next thing I knew my lips were pressed against Harry’s.I pulled away quickly. I don’t know what I was feeling. I think a little bit of every emotion was hitting me all at once. My facing is getting hotter, I’m probably bright red. I don’t know about Harry, I can’t bring myself to look at him yet. I can see the others laughing and cheering but I can’t hear a thing my heart and head are pounding. I decide to just go sit down on the couch away from them. I really didn’t see this coming. I see Harry get up at make his way over to me. Great.
Harry’s POV
When our lips connected for the first time I got a feeling that I’ve never felt before. All the feelings I got that I thought was love in the past with other girls were nothing compared to this feeling. Her face was very red and she looked adorable. My face was red too but, she wouldn’t know because she didn’t look at me. Just before the kiss, when she was looking into my eyes, I started feeling nervous because that was the first time she ever really looked at me. I started shaking but I don’t think anyone could tell. Her eyes were gorgeous but I could tell she was putting up a wall. I’m determined to break it down. When she looked away my heart sank in my chest I just wanted that moment to last forever. Alright, I’m going to talk to her. I get up and sit next to her on the couch. “Hey.” I say nervously. “Hi.” She sounds equally as nervous so that’s good. “Look I like you a lot, I know you don’t like me back but, what I just felt was like nothing I’ve ever felt before, please tell me you felt something, anything even a little bit.” I said with pleading eyes. She took a deep breath and said, “I don’t know I might have but, I’m not looking for a relationship Harry. Besides I would want a relationship that I can actually go out in public without being followed around by a million people.” I was instantly happy when I heard her say she felt something too but, then it all changed when she said she wasn’t interested. “Please just give me a chance.” I asked “Harry I know your reputation, I don’t want to be just another girl you check off your list. I’ve been hurt before and I don’t want to get hurt again.” She said in a sad voice. Is that really what she thought of me? “Victoria, I promise you I’m not my reputation. You’re not just some girl to me. You’re so much more, you have to believe me.” I said with hurt and sincerity laced in my voice. I saw her start to tear up, “I do.” She said with a single tear rolling down her face. I cupped her cheek with my hand and wiped away the tear with my thumb. “Then what do you say? Will you please be my girlfriend?” I asked. She smiled and threw her arms around my neck. I was shocked at first but then, I wrapped my arms around her and hugged back. It felt so right. We got up and walked to the others hand in hand.
