Keep Me Safe

Emma’s POV
“It’s open!” I hear Victoria yell. I laugh silently to myself and opened the door I walked in and the rest followed me in. I turned to Harry quickly giving him a reassuring smile. He un-tensed slightly but he was still clearly nervous. We went and sat down on the couches. I sat next to Victoria who refused to sit up so I had to sit on Niall’s lap and she had her feet on me. Harry sat across from Victoria. He was sitting straight up and was stiff. I looked at him and lipped “Chill out.” He was being obvious. He saw me and slouched a little and let himself relax. It was silent for a while then I broke in. “So, Tori you’re feeling better?” I said trying to break the silence. “Yeah I feel a lot better I’m really tired though.” She said. I nodded. “Alright, enough sitting around let’s play a game!” I said hoping that Tori would get off her lazy butt and that everyone else wouldn’t feel so awkward. “Good idea babe what game?” Niall asked thank goodness at least someone is backing me up here. “Umm I don’t know maybe Twister?” (if you don’t know what twister is it’s where there is this big mat with rows of colors you spin a spinner and it tells you what color to put your hands or feet on and you end up all twisted up. Whoever falls first loses.) “Ok” everyone said at once everyone except Victoria. “Come on Tori please” I said with a pouty face holding out my hand to pull her up. She took it, “Alright I’ll go get it,” She said turning to walk away. I could see Harry staring at her. “I’ll come with you.” I said and followed her upstairs. “Alright can you tell Harry to stop staring at me it’s really creeping me out.” She said in a whisper once we got upstairs. I frowned a little. “He just really likes you.” I said equally as quiet. “Well Emma, I just don’t like him like that you know I don’t want a boyfriend right now I’d much rather be friends.” She said getting frustrated. “I know.” Is all I said. Poor Harry he is going to be crushed. We walked down stairs with the Twister box ad set up. “Who wants to go first?” I asked nobody volunteered because I don’t think they really knew how to play. “Ok then your names are going in a bowl and I’m picking.” I said walking into the kitchen and writing to get a bowl I wrote their names on napkins and put them in the bowl. I went back in and I pulled the first name it was Zayn. I have an idea. “Harry.” I announced. He simply nodded. I pulled another name it was Liam. “Victoria.” I said. I’m very proud of myself right now. I put the names back in the bowl so that no one would be able to see I was lying. Harry looked over at me quickly with his eyes wide. Victoria shot me a death stare which Harry saw and hurt was written all over his face. Victoria noticed and I could tell she felt bad. “Tori you go first.” I spun the spinner, “Right hand, red.” I said. She bent over and put her hand on red. Harry’s eyes were wide looking at her butt. I cleared my throat and he looked at me. I gave him a look saying stop it. I spun again. “Ok Harry, right foot, blue.” I said eventually they got into a very awkward position but I’m sure Harry loved it. This is what I was hoping would happen. Harry was in the crab/bridge position. His he was facing up balancing on both hands and feet. Victoria was over him her body facing down so that they were face to face. She turned her head looking at me though so that she didn’t make eye contact for too long. The boy were all laughing and cheering being obnoxious. It is now Harry’s turn. “Left hand, green,” I said. Harry tried to move from under her but he couldn’t which caused them both to fall. He landed on his back and she landed on top of him. Her lips were forced into his during the fall. Everyone was cheering. “Louis shouted, “Get it mate!” She jumped off of him right away her face was bright red and so was Harry’s but he had a huge smile on his face. He’ll thank me for that one. Victoria simply went and sat on the couch away from everyone. I feel kind of bad but, I know they are right for each other, it needed to be done.
