Keep Me Safe

Niall’s POV
I felt her grab my hand as I pulled away to call the lads. She looked at me nervously and I could tell it was important. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “What are we?” she asked in barely a whisper. Is she asking me to ask her out? I hope so, I was going today actually. I smiled at her and pulled out of the kitchen and into the living room. “I actually was going to talk to you about that today.” I said with a smile. She smiled a very small smile and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Really?” she asked shyly. I nodded my head yes and took her hands in mine. I looked straight into her eyes and said, “Emma Page, we have had challenges get thrown at us and I want us to face it all together, because you make me happy and, I want nothing more than to love you and keep you safe. Will you please be my girlfriend?” I asked. Emma began to cry and this time they were happy tears. “Yes!” she said shaking her head quickly up and down. Then, she jumped into my arms and kissed me. My heat is beating a million miles an hour. I love this girl so much. This kiss lasted longer and more passionate than any of our others. Our first kiss as a couple. When we pulled away we were both much happier, I wiped the tears off her face and then she ran back into the kitchen with her hand laced in mine. “Guess who’s official!” She said lifting our hands in to the air. Victoria finished setting down our plates of food and then she and Emma hugged and squealed. I love how happy she is about this. It’s exactly what I wanted. Then, Emma turned around and said, “Call the boys.” I nodded and left the room to call them. When I looked at my phone I saw I had a missed call from Liam so I decided to call him. “Hello?” Liam said and before I could say anything he asked me “Did you the tweets? Is she ok? Where are you?” he was clearly worried even through the phone I could hear it. “Yes I saw them. She’s alright she was crying but she is ok. We are staying at her friend Victoria’s house.” I said “I’m glad you guys are alright. So you’re in America?” he said calming down. “Yeah and I need you and the lads to come down here earlier than planned. I mean we have the VMA’s in a couple days anyway and we really need your help.” I said. Liam paused for a second I could hear him talking to someone; he must be with the lads right now. “Yeah we’ll come now. Did you ask her out yet?” Liam asked. “Yes, she said yes!” I said “Congrats mate! Tell Em we say hi! We’re on our way. Bye.” He said and then hung up. I walked back to the kitchen where the girls already started eating. “The lads say hi and they are on their way.” I said and then sat down next to my girlfriend. Wow I get to say girlfriend now!
