Keep Me Safe

Victoria’s POV
As I’m driving I’m worried about if the paps will follow me to my house because that is the last thing I need. I’m also nervous about having a freaking celebrity in my back seat. Over all I think I’m handling all of this pretty well. Then again I am still totally losing my mind with nervousness. I try to take my mind off things so I just focus on the road and listen to what Niall and Em are saying. I know I’m not supposed to listen in to conversations but you know what I don’t really care at this point I have a lot to figure out. I can see Niall holding onto Emma’s hand and I can see how much he cares for her. I couldn’t help but have a huge smile on my face. I haven’t seen her being treated how she deserves by a guy in years so this is a great change. I hear Niall say, “I love you.” To her and I just about died. The way he said was like nothing I’ve ever heard. It was so raw and sincere and I know he means it. No one has said it to me that way before (not fair! But of course I am soooo happy for her). Then, I heard Emma say, “I love you too.” And that my friend shocked the crap out of me. You see, Em has trust issues when it comes to relationships, which is totally understandable considering what she’s been through. She puts up a wall and, she doesn’t let her heart care for people easily.She has never been able to say that she loves her boyfriend. Niall is so different from other guys and she can see that. I can tell by the way she said she means it too. At this point I have tears in my eyes because I am so happy for her. Next thing I know she kisses him. My heart freaking stopped and I thought I was going to crash the car or something. Luckily I got control of myself and turn down my street. Emma is so confusing, one second she is acting like she wants nothing to do with him, the next second she is totally in love with him. When we pulled into my drive way, I asked, “What do we do now?”
Niall’s POV
I hear Victoria’s voice ask in a shaky voice, “What do we do now?” “Well it seems like they didn’t follow us but they could be anywhere. What we have to do is get inside as fast as possible. You two need to keep you faces covered until we get inside. Victoria looked back at me for the first time sense I got in the car. She had blonde hair but she had brown eyes and has a thin figure. She is quite beautiful, but nothing compared to Emma. When she looked back at me she took a deep breath and nodded her head. I could tell how scared she was about the whole situation. It must all be a huge shock to her right now, considering she probably just found out about Em and I recently. I gave her a reassuring smile then opened my door and got out. Emma got out next covering her face. Then, Victoria got out and ran up to the door and unlocked it, also keeping her face hidden. Once we were in the house and got settled on the couch and after I apologized, Victoria told me it was ok and I was welcome any time. Emma on the other hand said, “What the heck were you thinking! Didn’t it cross your mind that umm I don’t know you’re kind of famous and people were going to notice you!?” Victoria gave Emma look telling her to calm down, which I was grateful for because it seemed to work a little. “All I was thinking of was you. I needed to know you were safe. Nothing else in the world mattered to me at the time. I’m sorry.” I said in a calm voice, she laid her head down on my shoulder then, I kissed her on the forehead. “I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t be yelling at you like this and I shouldn’t have just left. Whatever happens now, we are in it together and all that matters is that you’re with me.” She said and those words were all I needed to hear.
