Keep Me Safe

Niall’s POV
She hung up the phone. “I Love you” I said out loud even though she could had just hung up. I have to admit that stung a lot when she hung up on me. Heck it stung when she left. Things were going so well. I know she is scared but I was keeping her safe. Seeing Mike must have pushed her off the deep. I mean I understand but, why couldn’t I go with her? After I stopped thinking about why she did it I started worrying about other things. Things like what if her friend doesn’t like me or her parents, what if she has me meet them? Where will I stay if she won’t let me stay with her? What is going to happen to us? I had millions of things running through my mind and, eventually I just fell asleep on the plane. When I woke up the plane was landing. I got off the plane, got my luggage, and called Emma. “Hello?” Emma said, her voice sounding tired and annoyed. “Hey Em, I just landed.” I said my voice clearly sounding hurt. I guess she could tell because in a nicer tone she said, “Ok we will be there soon, just wait for us on the bench near the door.” “Ok see you soon” I said “Ok bye.” She said and hung up. I made my way to the bench she was talking about and sat down. “Hi can I take a picture with you?” I heard a loud voice say. Soon more and more people surrounded me. Oh shit I forgot that people were going to recognize me. “Sure.” I said and took a picture. While I was taking pictures and signing things all I could think about was how the paps were going to be here any minute.I don’t want Emma or her friend to be dragged into the public eye for my stupidity. Why am I such an idiot, here I am trying to keep her safe and now she may be put through more pain than I can protect her from. I told the girls that I had to take a break for a second. I pulled out my phone and texted Emma, “Emma I am so sorry, I forgot that there would be fans here. The paps will be here soon too. When you get here honk twice and keep you’re faces covered.” “That’s just great Niall, we are almost there.” She replied.I went back to the crowed and continued signing things then, I saw the paps pull up with their big cameras flashing. Great, I thought. I heard to honks, and I told the girls I had to go. I made my way to the car through the flashing lights and got in.
