Keep Me Safe

Emma’s POV
I woke up in a lot of pain and I’m not quite sure where I am. I tried to sit up but an arm around my waist wouldn’t let me. I turned my head slowly trying to avoid pain. That didn’t work of course. My eyes found a beautiful blonde haired sleeping boy. His cheeks were a light pink and his face looked relaxed, happy, and at peace. I smiled at him, he makes me so happy. Even though it hurt so badly, I leaned over and kissed his forehead lightly. His eyes opened slowly and a sleepy smile spread across his face. “Sorry I didn’t mean to wake you up.” I said. I really didn’t want to wake him up he looked so happy. “It’s ok Em, I loved waking up to your beautiful face.” OH MY GOD I must look horrible right now! “Haha yeah so beautiful.” I said sarcastically. “You are! How could you not see that!?!” he asked. I laughed at him. “I guess because no one ever tells me.” I said with a smile that was almost fake. He stared at me shocked by my response. I pulled his hand off from around my waist and started to get up. “Don’t go!” he said grabbing onto my hand. I smiled at him “I’ll be back, I just have to take pain medication and get ready.” He shrugged, “Ok” he said letting go of my hand and letting it flop back onto the bed. I made my way to the bathroom and put on a fancy blue dress Eleanor brought me because that’s all I have here. I don’t have any makeup here, but luckily I don’t have any breakouts. I heard Niall moving around in his room. What the heck is he doing? I put some tooth paste on my finger and brushed my teeth. Then, I brushed my hair with my fingers and walked back into Niall's room. He was dressed up in a dress shirt and pants. He had a huge smile on his face. “You look amazing!” Niall said cheerfully. “You look pretty good yourself.” I said taking in every inch of his body. He blushed slightly then, walked towards me. “You ready to go?” he asked. I crinkled my eyebrows in confusion. “Ready to go where?” I asked curiously. “You’ll see.” He said with a grin that made my heart melt. “Well if you won’t tell me I’m just going to have to find out now aren’t I?” I said playfully. “Yes you are now let’s go!” he said eagerly. He grabbed my wrist gently so he didn’t hurt me, and lead me out the door and to the car. He opened the car door for me and bowed and said, “Ma lady.” In a rich snobby voice which I thought was hysterical. He then lifted up my hand and kissed it like in the do in the movies. “Thank you kind sir.” I said in the same snobby voice. Wow he is such a gentleman Mike would have never opened the door for me. In fact he would more likely hit me in face with it then run me over.Niall closed my door and walked around to the driver’s seat then got in. “Alright, will you please tell me now?” I asked putting on my best puppy dog face. He said, “No, but I will tell you our first stop is out of town so that there is no chance of Mike seeing you.” I couldn’t help but cringe when Niall said Mike’s name. I wanted to throw up. “Ok good.” I said. He smiled at me and placed his hand on my thigh, and said “We’ll be fine.”
