I looked at my phone. Only 20 minutes until I land in London. Uggg prepare for one of the worst weeks of your life Emma, I thought to myself. When the plane landed it was 6:45. I still have an hour before I have to meet my boyfriend at his apartment. I might as well go to Nandos first. I’m in no hurry to get abused anyway. Why am I still with him? I’m so stupid! Mike never treated me right anyway. I guess that’s why I can’t leave him, it’s too dangerous. I shrugged and pulled out my phone. The taxi will be here soon. I walked outside and got into the cab. “Where to?,” asked the cab driver. “To the nearest Nandos please” I said forcing a fake smile onto my face. “Alright” he said as he pulled away. I just sat and just stared out the window. London is so pretty, too bad I never really have a chance to look around. The cab came to a stop and I stepped out. “ehem” the driver said holding out his hand. “Oh right. I’m sorry here you go.” I handed him the money and hurried into Nandos. As soon as I walked in I felt happier, and then my heart skipped a beat. Sitting at the back corner table was the most gorgeous boy I have ever seen in my life. He looked familiar but I couldn’t put my finger on it. His blonde hair fell perfectly and even though he was looking down I could see he had absolutely amazing blue eyes. He looked up and we made eye contact. I quickly looked away. “Oh crap he totally saw me staring at him!” I said under my breath, as I walked to the counter to order. After I finished ordering I walked to the opposite corner of the room and sat down. Not long after that I heard footsteps behind me. “Hi I’m Niall, can I sit down?” The beautiful boy from across the room said as he walked around my table. He had such a cute Irish accent. “Yeah sure” I said. I know my cheeks are bright red must look ridiculous. He chuckled a little and said “so do you have a name?” “I’m Emma.” I said sounding a little nervous. I hope he didn’t notice. “Your American right?” he asked me with a smile “ Yes I’m from New York” I said gaining a bit more confidence. He slipped me a napkin with a phone number on it. I smiled at his child like technique. I took a pen out of my purse and held out my hand. He slowly put his hand in mine and his touch sent chills down my spine. I wrote my number on his hand and put my pen away. Oh My God What Am I Doing!!!! I stood up “look Niall, I’m really sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking, I have a boyfriend. We are have major issues and it’s very abusive, he will kill me if he finds out.” I said very quickly grabbing my things. “Here you should keep this” I said putting the napkin he gave on the table, before running out of Nandos. “Emma wait!” I heard him say after me. I looked back but kept moving. Niall’s face looked shocked, but worried more than anything else. I turned around the corner to a car rental shop and picked one out. I looked at the time on my phone. Oh no I’m late!
