A Choice

November 7th

I was woken up by a rather harsh shaking by a set of hands I did not recognize.

"Come on you, wake up!" My eyes rose suddenly as I looked up to find a woman, who was slightly dirty, with an apron on.

"Can I help you ma'am?" I asked with a tired voice while rubbing my eyes.

"Yes, the prince ordered me to come in here and wake you up, so you can get to work, so you'll be with me and a few others in the kitchen, here put this on." She tossed me my clothes that I arrived in the palace in, as I rose up ready to help.

"Okay no problem" She turned around covering her eyes as I dressed. Afterwards she led me to the kitchen where all the women workers were dressed about the same as I. They were all either cooking, sweeping or washing dishes.

"Here, you can start here for the day and wash these." She pointed to a large stack of dishes that all had dirt or leftover food and crumbs on them.

"Yes ma'am." I walked over to the sink and began my work, where I washed and scrubbed, for at least 3 hours, when we all took a break and ate lunch, where I met a few ladies. The one who woke me up was the head of all the workers, named Tabitha. A maid who served in the palace named Merida, and a cook named Clarissa. They all seemed fairly nice, and always had something sweet or funny to talk about. After lunch was over I kept going with the dishes, until the sun was nearly all the way down. Once I dried off my hands Tabitha came over and thanked me for doing the dishes and that no one's wanted to do them in weeks. I went upstairs to Harry and I's bathroom to take a nice bath, since I was not hungry only fairly tired. Once finished, I walked inside the bedroom to find a lovely new nightgown set among the bed.

I blew out the candles set on the nightstand and soon went to bed as soon as I felt arms wrapped around my waist.
