The Past
Chapter 9- It's Official
It had been an entire term. Harry and I hung out nearly every day after school, and somehow I still managed to pass all my exams with flying colours. He was someone I could no longer imagine my life without. He was routine, I saw him constantly and the days I didn’t see him I was left miserable and incomplete. We had been official for about 2 weeks after the incident with Ryan. The way he asked me was so beautiful.

He dropped me home after we had gone for fish and chips at our local beach and watched the sunset. He pinned me to the car door.
“I had a really good time tonight” I said and smiled as he kissed me.
“So. Did. I” he said in between kisses.
And then he looked down and began taking off his watch. He placed the watch on my wrist.
“Be my girlfriend.” He studied my face. “I know we have only known each other for two weeks but I don’t see why we should waste time when we are both obviously falling for each other.”
“Yes” I laughed at his nervousness. “I will be your girlfriend.” I placed a big kiss on his lips before turning around and walking through my door, teasing and leaving him wanting more.

Now it is nearly first break and we have three weeks to spend together without the distraction of school. Note; school being the distraction- not Harry. Shows what I care more about which is a change to my usual ‘school is priority’ attitude I usually have going. I knew this was going to be a holiday like no other. I asked mum if I could spend the time at Tabby’s, even though I was planning on spending every day at Harry’s, just so mum wouldn’t know the truth because I knew she would never approve. Harry wanted to take me to Cheshire, where he grew up and spend the time showing me around.
With our plans in mind, I was shocked when Harry didn’t turn up to school on the last day. He wasn’t replying to any of my texts which was very unlike him. It downed my spirits for what should have been an amazing last day so I didn’t feel like joining in on the celebrations my classmates were holding. I decided at lunch that the rest of my day was a waste of time so I left to check on Harry. I knocked on the door but no one answered. Curious, I opened the door, which surprised me to be unlocked, and went up to his room. I was stunned when I opened Harry’s door to see him pale and rocking back and forth on the ground. I tried to grab his arm and take his pulse to check whether it was normal when something caught my attention. There were bruises on Harry’s arm that shot up next to his veins. There was a syringe next to the bed, that lay empty on the ground.
“What the fuck is this, Harry?” I shouted.
He looked up at me, as if he hadn’t noticed me before.
“Lucy?” he said vulnerably.
“Fucking drugs, Harry?! What the hell?!” I shouted, ignoring his whimpers. “I’m calling the ambulance. This is ridiculous!” I was furious but at the same time I was terrified of the truth behind this cause of this event that I was yet to face.
