The Past
Chapter 1- The Dress
I looked at my wedding dress in admiration. Although it was simply beautiful, I felt in awe when I realised that the slim figure was something I could barely imagine fitting into in my heavily pregnant state. I knew I would have to do some serious workouts to fit into it. The beautiful lace neckline looked so delicate and the intricate detail on the dress was picturesque. I didn’t want a big and sparkly wedding dress. I had always wanted classic and classy, and I knew my choice was perfectly suited.
Harry and I both agreed that we were going to have the wedding after the bub was born. We wanted the wedding to be everything we could ever imagine and we knew that would be impossible to organise in the less than 4 months we had. Additionally, who wants to walk down the aisle, 9 months pregnant and ready to pop at any moment? We had set a spring wedding, which was about 3 months after mini me was born. I already knew that the following months were going to be crazy, from organising the baby stuff to organising the wedding of our dreams.
“Outside wedding” Harry said.
“No! A church wedding! My parents are religious.” I retorted, sitting across from the green eyed boy as we were surrounded by paper.
“But wouldn’t you prefer to be married, surrounded by peaceful nature.”
“My parents are too classic and old school for that.” I replied.
“Mmmhh fine.” He knew pushing it wouldn’t get him anywhere.
“I just want to see you in that dress, walking down the aisle right now.” He said as he placed a quick kiss on my lips as we both stood.
A sudden stabbing feeling entered my lower abdomen for the 10th time that day. I was 7 months pregnant now and the kicks were slowly getting stronger. Harry supported my back as I fell to the couch.
“This is exhausting” I said as I relaxed into the cushions. My back was aching, and I had nearly no energy.
A sudden bang sounded in the house. I walked towards the window and saw the black clouds roll over the town. The rain started to patter down, with magnificent flashes lighting up the sky.
“Let’s go shopping. We need to get the change table and this is the perfect weather.”
“Nooooo, I don’t feel like it.” I said, jokingly pouting as I tried to guilt Harry into letting me stay.
“It will be good for you. You haven’t left the house in a week”
He had a point. I was starting to go crazy.
“Fineee” I said before grabbing my coat and leaving the house for the car.
The rain rolled down my skin, the cool droplets calming me. I looked up at the sky and watched as the droplets became larger and heavier.
“Run!” Harry said. “It’s getting heavier.” Before he took off his jacket and held it over our heads.
When we got in the car Harry turned on the radio before we left the house for, yet again, another baby shopping trip.
