Harry's POV

"Are you sure this is where it's suppose to be?" Niall's friend Avery asked him.

"I know where I'm at, Stacey gave me this exact address ." He answered.

The four of us stayed planted inside of the car staring at four different beach houses. The band had two shows here in New York and tonight was our day off. And of course because Niall had friends in every city we've toured I was attending another overrated party. "Maybe it's that one." My girlfriend answered shyly. She pointed to a group of people walking up to a house then going around it.

Niall pulled his phone out of his pocket and double checked his messages. "That's the one!" He yelled. "Come on then." Niall waved and instructed Victoria and myself to follow him. I honestly didn't want to get out of the damn car. I wanted Niall and his daft friend to leave us behind and go on inside. When Victoria had spoke to Niall that was the first time I heard her speak since she got on her flight from Maine.

I was stilled shocked her parents agreed to letting her visit for a few days after everything that happened. Saying goodbye to someone you care about can be painful and especially if you don't know when or if you will see them again. Victoria was extremely close with her grandmother. That was the only person she ever really like talking to. I believed it because after her death she was more mute than ever. When I'm out touring sometimes late at night she would call me and I would have that feeling that she had been crying. We wouldn't say anything to each other. I would just sit there and listen to the sound of her breathing. And she was killing me, her silence was killing me.

"Are you feeling okay?" I asked. She nodded her head yes in response. "We don't have to go in if you don't want to, I know I don't." I laughed. She unfastened her seat belt and furrowed her eyebrows at me.

"You don't want to go in there? This is must be some type metaphysical paradox, because the Harry I know loved going to parties." Victoria said.

"Keyword loved which means past tense. You don't have to go in there for me."

"I want to, more like I need to. Lately I've been surrounded by sad faces. And I know by going in there with a crowd filled with strangers . I'll have one night where no one will look at me with a sympathetic facial expression. I want to have some fun."she smiled.

"Fun?" I repeated. "Yes so are we going to sit in the back of the car all night or are we going to go in?" Victoria asked. Although I didn't mind the sound of that ,I got out of the car and walked around it to open her door. "You sure your alright?" I asked her one last time.

She leaned in and gave me a short and quick kiss on the lips. "Positive!" Was her answer. If she was certain that she was okay, why was I having a hard time believing it?

The two of us walked through the sand to get to the house. There was a perfect view of the sunset. It was radiant and looked like it was touching the water. Still the only thing I could look at was her. We followed the the trail of people up to the front door and I wasn't the only person who was taken aback by the way Victoria looked.

She grabbed hold of my hand and squeezed it tightly. "Everyone's staring us." She whispered in my ear. I leaned down to match her height. "I believe they're looking at you." I whispered back.

"Chambers! Styles! What the hell took you both so long?" Niall asked greeting us from inside of the house. "On second thoughts spare me the cheeky details." He winked.

"So Niall where is your friend Stacey?" Victoria politely asked him.

"Speaking of the devil, she left her own party." Niall said shaking his head. "Great then now we can leave." I said putting my arm around Victoria steering us both to exit.

"Victoria look at this!" Avery yelled out. "Wow are those first editions?" Victoria asked him. Avery shook his head.

"I'll be right back." Victoria told me before walking away. She went over to meet him to go look at decade old novels. We were complete opposites when it came to stuff like that. She liked books and I liked vinyls. Out of nowhere Niall hit me on the chest with the back of his hand.

"Are you listening to me?" He said hysterically. I looked away from Victoria and Avery, then focused back on Niall. "Jesus man you act like she is going to evaporate if you take your eyes off her. Did you hear what I just said?" Niall asked sounding exasperated.

"No what did you say?" I replied.

"You know who is here."

"Who?" I questioned.

"You know who!" He said anxiously.

"Are you kidding me?" I asked him again hoping for everyone else's sake Niall's answer would be no.

"I kid you not my friend. I guess Stacey found out that's why she fled the crime scene." He laughed nervously. I didn't say anything instead I tried to hold my composure and stay leveled. "Do you remember what happened the last time the two of us were in the same place?" I asked Niall.

"Of course I do that guy is fucking psycho. That's why I suggest you get Victoria out of here before you get all ape shit in front of her again." He said diving back into the party.
By instinct my head turned back over to where I last saw her. Avery and Victoria weren't there anymore. Avery was standing alone in a corner stuffing his face with finger food and Victoria was nowhere to be found.

Victoria's POV

I tried to count to ten in my head, trying to calm myself down so I wouldn't cry. I stood there trying to hold back my tears, because Harry was relentless. "You're lying." I said, looking down at the floor so I wouldn't have to see his face.

"Why would I lie to you Victoria?" He asked. "I don't know and stop saying my name!" I demanded. I could feel the tears preparing to fall. Just the thought of what he said was crazy and absolutely impossible. She couldn't be dead. My grandmother was downstairs with my parents. She can't be dead.

"This doesn't make sense to you right now, but trust me it will. Just let continue explaining. " He said calmly.

"Why should I believe you? Of course this doesn't make sense to me. Do you even know what year this is? Or how I don't remember that night, the party , or you!" I cried. Harry held out the newspaper and opened it wide so I could see it.

"Who's name Is that?" He asked. I didn't look. "What's the year and date on here?!" Still I didn't look. He threw the paper to he floor and grabbed another. "Alright look at this. Who are these two people? LOOK AT THE GOD DAMMED PAPER VICTORIA!" He yelled.

I was hesitant but I finally looked up. "How is that possible?" I whispered to myself as I looked closely. It appeared to be a photograph of me and Harry.

"I'm not doing this to hurt you. You wanted to know the truth well here it is." He said violently ripping the newspaper. Clearly he had a temper, and all the air was sucked out of the room and replaced with a prickly kind of tension.
"I'm sorry,-" He said running his hand through his hair. "Victoria I didn't mean to yell at you." He said.

"What happened ?" She asked. "I don't think now is the good time to go on. I'm really sorry Victoria." He went over to the other end off the room and slid down the wall, Repeating "I'm sorry Victoria." I joined him and sat down next to him. "It's fine." I told him.

"Just tell me what happened next?"...
