Madalyn
Chapter 10
It hit me like a ton of bricks on my chest how much I loved him. I loved him for him, not for his riches, not for his fame. I loved him for him, and I hoped he loved me like I loved him. I hoped that he loved me for being me, not as just a throwback. Despite how he'd treated me, the way he gripped my hips desperately, the way he loved me unconditionally, I had my doubts. I was being too controlling, so I repremanded myself over it. Liam loves you for you, now forget Danielle, he certainly has.
**LIAM'S POV**
I put Danielle out of my mind, loving Madalyn unconditionally. I loved Madalyn for her, and only her. She wasn't a rebound or throwback, but perhaps she still thought of herself that way. That was the reason it killed me, to think that she thought of herself as a rebound girl instead of someone I truly loved. Danielle was my past, and I had moved on.
The way Madalyn made me feel was indescribable, it was beautiful, errotic, sensual, and difficult to understand. A jumbled mix of feelings filled me when I was with her. I felt in love, but I would never know if she felt the same way, and frankly, I was too scared to ask her how she felt about me.
I decided to play my cards dangerously and ask her if she wanted to stay in, abandoning my more innocent state of mind, I tried to be as seductive as possible. But, just like I suspected, she wanted to go eat out with everyone else. I didn't push her, because she'd just revealed to me her most sacred being without complaint or restriction.
**MADALYN'S POV**
We went to a charming little restaurant where people didn't seem to recognize the boys as much, and those who did mostly left them alone after an autograph. I was so hungry I thought my stomach was going to digest itself, and Niall-as usual-felt the same way.
"So what are we gonna get?" I asked. We all ordered after arguing, and then set to work talking. But I saw something that set my mind off, a boy that looked a ton like my abusive ex. I tried not to think about it, but I was a little scared.
"I need to use the restroom," I said and set off. When I went into the restroom, I wet my face to calm my nerves. Suddenly, I heard the door close and lock. My heart started racing, but I didn't say anything, for fear of setting him off.
"You got a new boy," he said and stepped close. I could smell the alcohol on his breath as he breathed into my ear and tugged the hair back from my face, "He can never do you like I did you," he said and hummed at my fear.
"Yeah, he's great. Although, we haven't had sex yet," I lied, taking the safest route.
"How 'bout one more time, for old times sake?" my ex asked and hiked my skirt up a little bit.
"No, I don't think that is a good idea," I said and tried to pull my skirt down. I felt a knife press into the back of my neck.
"Why? I think it is a brilliant idea," he said and turned it threateningly, "Don't think I don't know who he is. Damn Liam Payne from that gay boyband One Direction. Don't lie to me about sex!" he yelled and pushed me against the sink.
"Ow!" I gasped and started to cry, "I'm not lying, I promise! Please, help!" I yelled loudly, "HELP! Liam, help!" I said and a calloused hand covered my mouth.
"Shut the fuck up!" my ex yelled but it was too late, someone'd heard me. The door busted open and a very angry looking group of boys came in, "Hello, boys," my ex slurred and tugged my hair. I whimpered as he turned me to face Liam, "Always better with an audience," he muttered and cut a line up my arm.
"Get the fuck off her," Liam said through gritted teeth.
"All I heard was fuck her, so I shall, after all, you are the boyfriend," my ex sneered.
"Help me," I whimpered and I saw a disbelieving El call someone. After a few minutes of exchanged rude remarks, sirens wailed outside. My ex dropped me and the knife, then made a bee-line to the exit. Perrie rushed to my side and started cuddling me as I sobbed. A throbbing in my arm had developed, and Liam stood from afar, realizing that if he came near me, I might mistake him for my ex.
Paramedics rushed in and started inspecting me out in the parkinglot. They bandaged up my arm and allowed me to say a few words to my ex.
"Well, Jay, you got what you wanted. You wanted to be a gangster, now you can have a nice big kiss on my happy ass! And enjoy that gangsters ass you're gonna get a mouthfull of in jail, you ungrateful, woman hating bastard!" I yelled and swung a right hook to Jay's face. They had to pull me away and I spat on him, "There's your kiss, asshole!" I yelled as the dragged me off.
"That's a new side of you I haven't ever seen," Liam chuckled.
"You probably don't want to see any more of it, unless you want that pretty little face of yours to be fucked up!" I said and clenched my fists.
"Look, Madalyn, I love you. Don't doubt that, please? Trust me, because now I see why you didn't before. Just love me for me, I'll love you for you. I won't ever hurt you like that bastard, ever. I promise you that," he said and kissed me. Despite the pain/rage/hurt that had seemed to permanently placed itself in my gut, I loved the kiss. I loved the feeling he gave me, and I loved the happiness that filled me when our lips touched.
In a sense, it was my happily ever after!
