Half A Heart
Chapter 26
~ Capri's POV ~
After the waiter took Eleanor and I's food order, we started conversation. I was really nervous for this lunch...it's important to Louis that I get along with his girlfriend, and I'm afraid that's gonna be a problem.
"How's everything with Harry, and Darcy, and the baby?" She asked me, and I was shocked at her....kindness.
"Good. Me and Harry are looking for a place to move into to. We can't stay in that hotel room forever." She emitted a small chuckle, and I smiled.
"That's great. You guys seem happy." Whoa...she's actually being genuinely nice.
"We are....I think everything that has happened this past year has only made us stronger. Everything is finally falling into place." I said, and she gave me a warm smile.
"How are things with Louis?" I asked her.
"Great. I'm so lucky that all of you have forgiven me, and I'm grateful to have friends like all of you. By the way, I need to extend my apology, I am so sorry about that incident at the pool. I knew Louis liked you and I'm just a jealous person." She confessed, and I chuckled.
"That was almost three years ago. No one else even remembers." She laughed, and I joined her softly.
"I don't know what it is...but I have been so relaxed ever since Louis and I made up. This big weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and I'm suddenly stress free." She shrugged, and I sighed at the remembrance of Marina.
"I am in no way stress free. My cousin's in town and she is eyeing Harry like he's a single piece of meat. It's disgusting and completley frustrating." I groaned, and Eleanor gave me a sympathetic smile.
"I don't know your cousin, but she doesn't sound like a big bundle of joy." I laughed and she gave me a wide smile.
"She isn't. Good thing Harry doesn't fall for her shit, nobody believes her anyway." I said, and soon our food was set in front of us.
"This looks great. And you need to show your cousin boundaries. If she can't respect simple rules, then she's not even worth your time." She assured, and I smiled.
"Thanks." I smiled and we ate our food, keeping up random conversation.

"Harry!" I exclaimed as I entered our hotel room. He sat on the couch with his face deep in some book he has been reading the past couple of days.
"Hey." He murmured, and I sat next to him on the sofa while planting a kiss on his cheek.
"How was the lunch?" He said dryly, without taking his eyes off his book. Well then.
"Good. I think everything's fine." I smiled, and he nodded. "Okay, what's wrong?" I asked him softly, and he sighed, shutting his book to set it on the coffee table.
"I don't know. What's wrong?" I was taken back by his harshness, and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"Nothing....what's up with you? What could have possibly happened while I was gone?" I questioned, and he stood from the couch bringing his book with him.
"Marina stopped by." He said, and I groaned in frustration.
"What did she want?" I asked, and he placed both his hands on the counter, facing me.
"Nothing. She said a few things, and then she's was gone." He shrugged but there was still something he was trying to let me know...was he angry at me?
"What did I do?" I asked him, and he shrugged.
"You tell me." He said, and I rolled my eyes.
"Okay, you're clearly pissed about something so I'll be back later." I said annoyed, and grabbed my purse off the counter again.
"See you then." He said before picking Darcy up and out of her high chair, and Walking into the bedroom.
What the fuck?

I knocked on Zayn's door three times, and waited before he swung it open.
"Hey! What are you doing here?" He asked while stepping into a hug.
"Harry's pissed about something, so I came here...is that okay?" I asked and he looked at me like I was stupid.
"Of course. You are always welcome here. Why would Harry be mad anyway?" He asked me as we walked into his house while he shut the front door behind him.
"I don't know. He's being vague and sassy. I'm just going to leave him be for a bit. Where's Perrie?" I asked, and he sat down on his couch with me following his actions.
"Rehearsals. What did Harry say?" I was going to avoid his question, but I knew he wouldn't give up until I explained.
"I had lunch with Eleanor and when I came back he was just acting weird. My cousin stopped by, and I guess she said something that got under his skin. I'll talk to him when he's not in a pissy mood." I
explained, and he nodded.
"Do you think Marina said something about you?" He asked, and I shrugged.
"He wouldn't believe anything she says."
~ Harry's POV ~
Ever since Marina left I haven't been able to get what she said out of my head. Was she right? Of course not....Capri is a great person. But does she cause problems? Maybe she just falls into the wrong situations.
I don't even know, but I feel bad for snapping at Capri like that....she's probably mad at me right now. Where did she to? What does she think? Why do I smell gingerbread?
Nobody knows...
"Hey." Capri said emotionless, and threw her purse on the bed while changing into some pajamas. I didn't respond, just watched as she slammed things around, and got dressed.
"I'm sleeping on use couch tonight." She muttered, and I sat up quickly.
"Why?" I asked, and it came out more mean than expected.
"What's the point of sleeping in the same bed as you if you're mad at me? You won't touch me or hug me or cuddle with me, it'll just be awkward, and tense. I'd rather not go through that pain tonight." She walked over and kissed my forehead before walking out of the bedroom.
Why am I letting her sleep on the couch?
Nobody knows.
I tossed and turned, but sleep never came to me. I've never received insomnia this bad before. The bed is just...cold and empty without her. I peeled the blanket off of me and walked out of the bedroom into the living room.
Capri was pushed up against the cushions of the sofa, her body small and smushed against the large couch. I walked over and took put the rest of the space on the couch, pushing my body against hers and wrapping my arms around her.
"Harry?" She mumbled, and I kissed her forehead.
"I couldn't sleep." I murmured, and she sighed as she buried her face in the crook of my neck.
"Neither could I."
