Half A Heart
Chapter 1
~ Capri's POV ~
*after tour*
I sat on the couch, back at Louis' flat with Jade, Perrie, and Danielle, while the boys were at an interview.
"Capri!" Jade snapped in front of my face to get my attention. I must have dozed off.
"Sorry. I've been doing they a lot, haven't I?" I apologized. Perrie sighed and walked over to me, sitting her self down to my right.
"You have a lot on your mind. I mean... The whole proposal thing, must be really stressful for you." Perrie said rubbing my back with the palm of her hand.
"I don't know what to do! I love Louis, but I don't know If I'm ready to get married yet. Again. My last marriage ended rather badly. God! I never thought I would be saying that!" I exclaimed. Jade giggled and I looked at her.
"What?" I asked, cracking a smile myself.
"It's true. When we were little you used to plan your whole future out. I remember. You said that you wanted to only get married once, and have three kids. Two of them will be girls, and one of them will be a boy, you wanted to name them; Deborah, Alice, and Jacob after your brother." She explained. I smiled at the memory.
"I remember! I was going to own a bakery, in San Francisco with you, and we would live with our two cats until we got married to the boys of our dreams." I finished. She laughed, and I joined her.
"You can still do that, you know." Danielle said. I looked to her skeptically.
"Like, only get married once? I don't think so..." I said. She shook her head and laughed.
"You can still have three kids, own a bakery, and have cats." I smiled even wider and nodded my head.
"I could totally still own a bakery! And Jade you could co-own it with me! That would be so awesome!" I said. Jade smiled and nodded her head.
"I have a question!" Perrie exclaimed, I laughed before gesturing her to go on. "How's Louis taking all of this?"
"He said, that I can take as much time as I need to answer him. I don't want to jump into another marriage that quickly." I said to her.
"You still love Harry." Perrie whispered. Dani hit her in the arm and Perrie winced.
"No I don't! I swear I don't love Harry! I love Louis! I-I love Lou-" Perrie cut me off and stood from the couch.
"Who are you trying to convince? Me, or you?" She asked. Even when she like this, she had only the sweetest intentions.
"You! I know who I love. I love Louis." I said.
"I know you do! It's just... Babe, I can tell you still love Harry. Ever since that kiss you've been out of it." She said sitting back down next to me.
"I'm not saying I still love Harry, because I don't, but Louis can't hear anything about this conversation. Got it?" They all nodded curtly before I got up and shut the bedroom door behind me. Do I? Do I still love him? No. I can't.
"Babe? I'm home!" Louis called as I twirled the ring between my fingers. (A/N: Sorry in 'ring' there's a link. It's only the 'r' though:/)
"In the bedroom!" I called back. I heard shuffling before he came through the door, and plopped on the bed beside me.
"Oh, god, that interview was tiring." He huffed.
"Anything I should be worried about?" I asked. He looked up to me and bit his lip nervously.
"What is it?" I whined. He sighed before propping himself up on one elbow and peering up to me.
"They brought you up. And the engagement." I covered my face with my hand in embarrassment and huffed,
"What did they say?" I asked.
"Not much. Just they asked about it, and I told them that we were waiting for the public announcement another time." I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you." I mumbled. He smiled and nodded his head.
"Of course babe." He responded with a smile.
"So, Harry, and Liam are coming over for dinner. Is that alright?" I nodded my head with a forced smile.
"I thought you were mad at Harry though." I said as I walked into the bathroom to brush through my knotted hair,
"Not as much. But I still don't like the fact that he kissed you." He mumbled the last part and I walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his neck and placing a chaste kiss on his lips.
"I love you." I said to him.
"I love you more, Boo."
"I'll do the dishes tonight, babe," I said to Louis while picking up the plates we used for dinner. Including, Harry's and Liam's.
"No, I'll do them. Sit down." He said. I rolled my eyes before taking the plates into the kitchen and setting them in the sink.
"Hey." Harry greeted while handing me a fork I had left behind.
"Thanks." I mumbled. Awkward silence fell between us as I rinsed, and placed the dishes in the dishwasher.
"So, I have a question." He said. I shut the dishwasher, and turned it on.
"What is it?" I asked looking to him blankly.
"Outside?" He pointed to the balcony, and I shrugged. He walked outside, and I followed him.
"What is it?" He shut the sliding door and looked to me.
"Do you love me?" He asked. I looked up into his emerald orbs and decided not to answer him.
"Answer me." He commanded in a somewhat calm tone.
"I love Louis." I said avoiding his question at all costs.
"I don't believe you. If you love him as much as you say you do, then why haven't you said yes to the proposal?" He smirked. God, how much I wanted to slap that stupid smirk off his face.
"Well guess what? I'm not lying so theirs no reason you shouldn't believe me when I say; I'm in love with Louis fucking Tomlinson, and not you." I seethed. He scoffed.
"I. Don't. Believe. You." He said slowly.
"Believe It." I stated. He took a couple steps toward me so our face were only inches apart.
"What would you do if I kissed you right now?" He asked looking into my eyes, as I stared up to his.
"Nothing, because you wouldn't kiss me." I challenged.
"You think I wouldn't?" He asked amused, with eyebrows raised.
"I know you wouldn't."
"Think again." He said before crashing his lips to mine. Damn.
