Just then, I notice Paul sitting on a tree stump near the shore, texting. Giving a big wave, I say, "Hello there, Paul!" He smiles and waves."Hi, Talia!" My eyebrows furrow. I know he was at the wreck, but I didn't know he knew my name. I turn to Niall and ask, "How does Paul know my name?" Harry laughs and answers for him."Because Niall wouldn't shut up about you when you were in the hospital." "Awwh!" Amy says as she nudges my arm. I smile and link my arm with Niall's, resting my head on his shoulder. I say,"Niall, I need to tell you something." He looks at me."Alright then. I'm listening." As I answer,"Well..." I pull his arm as hard as I can off the dock. He hits the water right before I do. "Success!" I yell as I surface. Niall just smiles and splashes me. We all decide to dry off for a bit, and end up sitting in a circle playing truth or dare. After a while, it's my turn. Kaylie asks me,"Truth or dare?" "Hmm.. Dare, I guess." She smiles. "Alright. Climb that rope over there and ring the bell!" I gulp as I look to my right and see a rope hanging from a tall oak, a little bronze bell at the top. I walk over to the tree and begin to climb. Usually, I'm quite good at climbing trees, but all the swimming has drained my energy. About halfway up, I have to stop. My leg muscles are burning and my arms are shaking. I drop down about seven feet and stick the landing. Starting to black out, I plop back down on my seat. Kaylie looks at me and giggles. "Couldn't make it to the top?" I give a little smile and shake my head. Everyone seems to ditch the game and go their separate ways around the lake. "I bet I could make it. Ya know, cause I'm really skinny," Kaylie laughs to me. I giggle a little, but I'm definitely more self-conscious than usual now. "Are you gonna try it?" I ask. "Mmm.. Nah.. Nevermind," and with that, shes off to the dock. It's soon 11:30, and Paul asks, "Lunch, anyone?" When Louis screams,"MEEEEEE!" it's obvious he's very hungry. Everyone seems to want McDonald's for some reason, so we all drive to the closest one. Once we arrive, I order a frozen strawberry lemonade. Amy offers me a few fries. I begin to refuse, but my stomach interrupts and growls loudly. "Hmm.. Sure. Thanks." When we've finished eating, I run to play in the playplace like the dork that I am. And I burst out laughing when I turn around and see Louis, Niall, Harry, and Bailey right behind me.
