It Started With a Blind Date
Chapter 1
Eloise hauled the last box to the lift of her new apartment building. She had paid and waved off the moving truck that had once contained all of Selena’s and her own items. Pressing the floor to be lifted to, another body entered the lift. A hand belonging to the body, reached out, only to retract when the owner realized his floor was already pressed. Eloise looked over and smiled a bit at the man. He seemed to be around her own age. It was probably the shaggy brown hair that gave his age away.
“You must be the new neighbor.” He sent her a warm smile whilst extending his hand again, “My name is Harry, I live across the hall with one of my mates.”
“Eloise.” She smiled once again, setting the box as the lift began going up. she shook his hand, bowing slightly out of habit.
“So where are you from?” Harry asked, making small talk.
“The country side.”
“That’s it? No Town name?” He laughed.
“You will find out eventually. I am sure of it.” Eloise nodded.
A ding resonated in the lift, signalling that they had reached the predetermined floor. Stooping down, Eloise grabbed her box and exited shortly after Harry, who, with one last wave, disappeared into his own room.
When the box, and herself, had safely made it into the maze that was the current state of her own apartment, she set off to begin putting boxes in different stacks. She was not, absolutely not, going to draw out unpacking longer than it need to be.
"Ellie.." Selena had just walked into the livingroom, probably from unpacking her own room, "Woah. Holy mother of boxes. I don't remember packing this many boxes."
"You also only packed two boxes and then went to lunch." Eloise gave Selena a look, stating that all allegations were true.
Selena found herself slowly nodding, "That is very true.. But regardless, have you seen my-"
"No. Now begin opening boxes and bring them to their designated areas." Eloise instructed.
"But-"
"No buts. Do it."
Selena slumped her shoulders and let a long, drawn out, sigh escape her lips. She began working on the instructions shortly after.
For hours after, the two girls sorted, put away, and broke down boxes. A sizable stack of broken down boxes accumulated by the door of the flat.
"Can we be done yet?" Selena complained as she stared out of one of the windows. What was once a bright and beautiful Monday morning, had turned into a dark and starry night. "It's nearly nine Ellie~." Selena complained.
"No we can't. Jaja and Tots are being dropped off by Lottie soon and everything needs to be out away so they don't get into any trouble." Eloise called from her room, having been decorating.
"What is all left to do?" Selena slumped onto the couch, face first. "My bedroom and both the loos."
Burying her face into one of the davenport's cushions, Selena let out a loud, scream like, groan and sat back up, flipping her hair about. "I'll go work on mine then." She called back to the short blonde girl.
Just as she was getting up, a knock sounded in the apartment. It came from the door.
"Ellie! Sellie! Open up!" Lottie yelled from the other side.
Eloise's head stuck out from her room before she bolted towards the door, opening it before Selena could even blink or think to move towards it.
“Lottie! You weren’t supposed to come over until eleven so we could have everything done!” Eloise complained, pouting her lips out and crossing her arms a bit childishly. It probably didn’t help that she had her hair in pigtails, and was wearing a dress that made her look quite young. Lottie smiled and patted her friend’s blonde head.
“Get out your hottest dress and a pair of slutty heels Ellie.” She smiled.
“No. I don’t dress like that, and I don’t want to go clubbing.”
“You didn’t let me finish love.” Lottie shushed her with a finger to the lips. Eloise sighed and motioned for her to continue.
“Get out your best clothes because I have set you up on a blind date with a strapping young fellow. It’s tomorrow night and there is no saying no. He’s great and you’ll love him. Promise!”
“Lottie~.” Eloise whined once again, “You shouldn’t be messing in my love life. Granted I don’t really have one, you still can’t mess in it.”
“You can’t back out, he made plans in his busy schedule for you. Besides, you don’t start school or work for another two weeks. I think you can squeeze him in just fine.” Lottie continued her begging.
“Fine but I’m bringing Jaja as back up.” Eloise stooped down and picked up her piglet. It oinked and squealed in delight, nuzzling her happily.
“Can I at least help you pick out an outfit to wear?” Lottie asked as Eloise, Jaja still in her arms, walked across the flat and into her room.
“No.”
“You must be the new neighbor.” He sent her a warm smile whilst extending his hand again, “My name is Harry, I live across the hall with one of my mates.”

Notes
It took me longer then anticipated to get out the first chapter. It's also is a bit shorter then what I was hoping for. But it's out.I'm a bit greedy and love comments. Especially the long ones. Leave comments on what you loved the most from this chapter, and what you can't wait to see in the future, and other things.
The next chapter is to be written by my coauthor. We will be trying to update this daily, as well as a pattern will develop with who is updating. An example being myself, then her, then me, then her. Get it?
Well, I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope you continue reading.
