Above & Beyond
☁Chapter Two☁
Bree's Perspective
"Wait! I think I forgot something!" I shouted to Russifer.
"Nonsense Ms.Parker! Gordan went over the packing list over one hundred times!" He said, putting my light blue suitcase into the back of the limousine.
"Ms.Parker hurry along please! We need to be at the train station in ten minutes!" Carla yelled from inside the vehicle.
"Russifer, I know I forgot something." I stated, looking straight into his eyes.
He sighed. "Fine, but hurry as fast as you can Ms.Parker. And if your father asks why you are late, my name shall not be mentioned." He said.
Without answering I quickly paced to the tall doors of my house and ran up the long stairs to my room.
"The locket" I said to myself. My mother once had a golden locket, that she wore everyday. After she passed, I found it and kept it.
I went into my vanity and pulled out a small navy blue box. I slid the gold locket out of the box, and into my coat pocket.
I then ran down the stairs without even saying goodbye to Murdle.
Murdle was one of our maids. She was my best friend. Although she was much older than me, we had a lot in common. We both loved to read, write, sew, design, and playfully make fun of Arnold. Arnold was the same age as me and lived just down the street from us. He was the definition of a rich boy; snotty, rude, ungrateful, ex. He was always asking me out on dates and other weird stuff like that.
I ran out of the house and over to Russifer.
"Got what you need?" He asked.
"Yes. Yes I do." I replied.
"Very well then, off we go!" He said, opening the door for me.
