“Two weeks?” Liam asked swallowing hard

I nodded “Two weeks, my period was always on time even from the first time I got it when I was 12, every 28th day at about 7:00 am”

I could see Liam try to do the math... “We- 4 weeks ago?”

“Yeah, ovulation…”

“Which means you may be pregnant.”

I nodded I began to feel sick again not I’m going to vomit, but nervous scared…

“But the fever...” He said

“It could be dead.” I replied

“I don’t want it to be dead…” Liam whispered looking up at me.

“We don’t know if it’s there yet.” I said

“We will.” Liam whispered He walked over to our tent again, motioning for me too join him.

We sat inside he went through a bag.

“I figured” he said “That umm we would you know make love again so I picked up some rubbers and a few tests just in case of anything.”

I nodded “that was smart of you”

Liam handed me the stick.

I returned after going to the bathroom.

We read the instructions

“Wait 5 minutes and it will tell you if you are or are not pregnant by saying YES or NO it will also have the number of weeks below” I read

“5 minutes.” Liam said, “We can wait.”

“Yeah” I said my hand shaking,

“Hey” Liam said prying my white knuckled fingers away from the pregnancy stick, my wedding band and engagement ring were being pushed into it because of how tight I was holding it.

Liam pulled me too him. I inhaled his scent as he kissed my head and muttered it’s okay.

What felt like years later the test beeped indicating it was ready. 5 minutes had past and Liam and I were going to find out if we were going to be parents.

“You read it” I gasped

Liam picked it up and swallowed hard. His eyes moved as he read it.

He took a shaky breath “We’re going to be parents.”
