Chapter 35: In Sickness and In Health.

I remember little flashes in time.

Harry freaking out over 103 degrees Fahrenheit… So about 39 fever?

I was still wrenching.

Someone giving me water,

Someone trying to feed me,

Hades, wining worriedly his nose bumping my hand, licking my arm,

Hades getting defensive whenever someone would come in the tent,

Someone asking someone else about why I was saying that I had cheated…

Someone saying it was true…

Someone yelling…

I tried to say something,

it was an attempted shout… “I’m sorry, I love you”

Someone coming in and asking why I did it,

I said I didn’t mean to it was an accident…

I said I loved him,

I said I wanted him and Only him.

And I said forgive me.

I couldn’t remember much, but I tried…

Liam’s Pov

I walked into the tent, Hades growled at me

“Hey hey hey,” I said “I just want to help her.”

“Scarlett Love?” I asked looking at her

She looked back at my eyes barely seeing; she was so fair her skin was a ghastly shade of white grey her lips were so light the same colour of her skin, her body was covered in a sheen of sweat, her lips. Her hair was damp.

Sometimes she would say my name; sometimes she’d mutter “Nick, Nick, Nick.”

“Nick’s not here love” I said

“Yes he is.” She pointed across the tent to the right corner.

“No… Scarett”

“Yes… He is he’s right there, why can I only see him?” She wouldn’t ask anyone in particular

“Why can’t he see you Nicki?” She asked again her eyes focusing in the corner.

She laughed and then looked up at me.

“Scarlett you need to take these to break the fever.” I said as I began to help her up and give her the pill and water. “Swallow Love.”

She did and she lay down again “Thank you for keeping me safe. You would have made a good husband to someone one day, a good daddy.”

“I will” I replied, “ I will be your husband, your children’s daddy. In sickness and In health”
