Chapter 11: The Rules.

I quietly stalked into town my crossbow in my hands I was looking left and right, my feet making little to no noise. I motioned for The boys to follow me and led them outside a huge store a Costco, Nick and I had never even attempted to go in, but we needed food if we cleared this out we would be okay we could live in here. I stood by the side my back against a wall the boys on the other wall across from me.

“Okay” I whispered “We go in clear the place as well as we can, get ONLY what we need nothing else. Do you understand?”

Everyone nodded.

“Liam Niall what are you picking up?” I asked

“Pasta, Soups, Dried Meats” Liam said

“We are also going to try and find two more tents” Niall added

“Louis Zayn?” I asked

“Soap, deodorant, knives things like that” Louis said

“And Dog Food” Zayn Said “It’s better for hades to eat dog food”

“Harry?” I asked

“Antibiotics, Peroxide, rubbing alcohol, bandages, Vitamins, Pharmaceuticals over all” Harry said

I nodded at him he nodded back.

“Rules.” I demanded

“Watch each others backs” Louis said

“Protect your partner as if they were your own blood” Liam said looking at me knots formed in my stomach…odd…

“Be quiet, don’t even breathe too loudly” Zayn added

“ Don’t use your gun, unless your life depends on it.” Niall said

“If need be climb. Climb on top of the shelves but don’t fall and be prepared to jump off another side to stay away from them.” Harry said his green eyes hardening. He looked into my eyes.

“Good” I sighed “I’m sorry if I’m being harsh, I just want us to all make it out alive”

“We know” Zayn said

Harry’s eyes immediately turned into a molten emerald. “ You only want what’s best for us, all of us including yourself.”

I smiled at him.

“And we appreciate it Scarlett, We really do, and we will watch out for you.”

Liam walked over to me his eyes melted and chocolaty; they made me light headed and weak in the knees. He put his hand on my cheek and I instantaneously let my cheek drop into his warm slightly calloused palm. His hand fit perfectly around my cheek. The world fell away. No zombies, No ground, no nothing. Just us Just Liam and Scarlett.
