“Bites and scratches spread the infection.” My dad paced back and forth looking between Nick and I. “They can only be killed if the brain is damaged- by that I mean stab it through the head, shoot I through the head or burn it after stabbing them.”
“The original thought was that it was a Delirium. It’s not.” My mom said sitting n the black leather couch to the right of Nick and I. “Its official name is The Vivens Mortua Contagion. The BCCDC- British Columbian Center for Disease Control and Prevention- in Canada and the America CDC have come to terms that it’s like a virus”
“There’s no cure,” I said
“No,” My mom said “Not yet- but their will be, we are working on it”
“Their wont be mom” Nick said “You said it yourself, your dead, and then reanimated, all functions stop.”
“That’s why it’s called The Vivens Mortua Contagion. Vivens Mortua are both latin words. Vivens means Living and Mortua means Dead,”
“Contagion- The communication of disease from one person to another by close contact.” Nick added
Mom looked at us “ That’s what they are The Living Dead.”
