Why Me?

Mia's p.o.v

What in the hell am I gonna do? WHAT IN THE HELL AM I GONNA DO!!! She can't know I live in a alleyway. Dammit! What am I gonna do.

I was debating what I was gonna do when I had a light bulb go off. I work at a place called star bucks. The alleyway isn't far from there. All I have to do is for her to drop me off there and pick me up. Perfect!

"Um. You can just drop me at star bucks. I gotta work there anyhow. You can pick me up later to." I said nervous.

"Are you sure you don't want me to drop you off at your house. I would like to see your house." said Danielle.

"Yea I'm sure."

"Ok then."


The rest of the car ride was silent. The only thing that I was able to hear was "Call Me Maybe" by that one chick that I can't remember her name. After a bit she finally drops me off at star bucks. I walk in and hear Teresa, the owner, talking on the phone to a customer. I love the smell and the warmth of the place.

I'm glad I'm saving money because it's getting cold and I need blankets for the winter so I don't die of hypothermia. I go to the staff only room and get changed into my uniform. I then go back behind the counter and sit down.

Now it took me a lot of time and patience for me to learn exactly where everything was and how it works. It was tough but I got threw it and it surprised me when Teresa didn't fire me when I messed up so bad.

The door opeaned and cold air rushed inside. I got off the stool and stood up and wait for the customer to make its order.

"Hey Mia!" said a boy with a Irish accent. It was good old Niall. Jeez. Even though we just met earlier today, he is funny.

"Oh hey Mia. What are you doing here." It was Liam. Awesome that both of them here. I was about to answer his question when ANOTHER boy with a British accent spoke.

"She's working. What else would she be doing behind the counter dumb ass." I giggled at his comment.

"Mia, the guy that just spoke was Louis and to the left is Harry and to the right is Zayn." Wow. I kinda waved in the straight direction because I know Liam and Niall doesn't know I'm blind yet. They ordered there drinks and I made them.

"Excuse me, but can you give me our drinks now. I've been standing here for a while now." Dammit I don't know which one he is from the group.

"I'm sorry. Here's your drinks. Right then and there I blew it. Since it didn't pay attention to where his voice was coming from I was holding out the drinks to the opposite side ether was standing.

"Um I'm way over here." he said huskily

"I'm sorry."

"Can't you see at all. I mean at first you waved in a direction we weren't even standing and now your holding out my drinks way over here. Are you blind to something. I knew I had to tell him. To me it's humiliating to tell people that I'm blind. I started to cry and I couldn't speak.

"I am blind." I whispered but loudly enough for him to hear.

"I am blind."
