Why Me?

Mia's p.o.v

I wake up every morning, sore from sleeping on the cold ground. I have a good reason why I'm on the ground, but I don't know what I did to deserve it.

i used to live with my best friend, Trinity, but for some reason she changed and kicked me to the street. It's difficult sometimes because, well, I'm blind.

i got in a car accident when I was a baby, my parents died, trying to protect me in the process. I wake up my dog. He just came into the alleyway one day and sat next to me. He's my seeing eye dog now, I guess.

Since I live in a alleyway I don't have a shower or anything so I get a water bottle, get some soap I took with me and use that to clean my hair. I also brought baby wipes with me and I use those to "clean" my body.

Tough life huh. But when I woke up this morning it was different. I smelled smoke.

I've always been scared of someone kidnapping me, but I figured no guy would want to hook up with a blind girl anyhow so I tried to ignore the smoke.

I heard footsteps coming to me. My dog was sitting next to me sat up and started to growl. When I first met Trinity, she made me take fighting lessons. Pretty tough for me, but after a year I reached black belt.

Even after those lesson I still think I'm not strong so I curled into a ball and hoped for the best.

"Hey girl, do you want a smoke?" The boy asked with a British accent. He sounded around my age. I quickly stood up but I guess he had the cigarette next to my face so it burned me.

"Ouch!"

"Hey, get some glasses. You just wasted my smoke cause of your dirty face." The boy yelled.

"I-I'm sorry." I was terrified that he would hit me or something but I heard heard the boy walk away. I now had to face hell. I hated school, it was my worst nightmare. All the names and pushing and stuff. I HATE IT!!!

But i knew that I needed to go so I went. Before I could even enter the school I was pushed down.

"Hi bitch!" It was Morgan. She was my bully. She had turned Trinity and all of my other friends against me and I was alone to face my own battles. I really wasn't in the mood to deal with her so my body did something I always wanted to do. I punched Morgan square in the face as hard as I could. I was tired as shit and didn't want to be fucked with today.

I was stupid for hitting her so I ran. I don't know why I was running, Morgan was on the CHAMPION track team at my school. I was surprised I hadn't trapped yet and that Morgan hadn't caught me yet either. Someone had suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me to them.

I thought it was Morgan so I was about to scream when a hand clapped over my mouth.

"Please be quiet love." It was a girl, but not Morgan. A minuet later a heard Morgan yell, "Where did you fucking go, you bitch!"

After I heard Morgan running away the girl let go of me.

"Are you alright?" She asked

"Yea I'm fine thanks by the way."

"No problem love. I'm Danielle. I've never seen you before, are you new or something?" I guess I was stupid because I guess I was turned away from her while I was talking.

She laughed. "Are you blind or something?" I knew it she was just like everyone else. To me she thought this it was impossible for a girl to go to school and be blind.

"As a matter of fact, I am. Didn't know that it was impossible that a blind girl could try to live a normal life." The bell rang so I walked away and asked some people where my class was. I went to my favorite class of all time. Music.

I was having fun when a girl walked in and sat next to me.

"Hello, bitch. Did you miss me?" It was Morgan. I was in for it now. She was going to kill me after class.
