Harry's POV.

Ashlynn closed the car door leaving me there to sulk in my guilt.

'What the hell is wrong with you Haz? Do you care about her at all?!" Eleanor asked me as she hit me in the back of head from the back seat.

"Eleanor, back off. Leave him alone and shut your mouth. " Louis said to her causing her to now be even more upset.

"Y'all are both unbelievable. Especially you Harry..I can't even believe you right n-" I cut her off with my words..my very mean words.

"Eleanor SHUT THE HELL UP. YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING SO BE QUIET. " I screamed at her now regretting my words.

"Fine..you're right Harry. I don't know anything. I especially don't know you anymore that's for sure. When y'all get your shit figured out let me know...AND YOU." she said now looking at Louis.." You don't ever talk to me like that again or this will be over." she yelled at Louis and I putting us both in our place.

"I'm going to stay with Ashlynn tonight. Don't forget her birthday weekend starts tomorrow night at 6. Hopefully y'all will have your act together by then...if not then don't bother coming." with those words she slammed the car door leaving just Louis and I.

"Eleanor baby....I'm sorry." he yelled at her through the car window causing her to give him the middle finger. He looked at me " Thanks a lot Haz...really thank you." He said to me sarcastically.

We drove back to my flat and made an oven pizza, he sat on the counter while I pre heated the oven.

"So tell me Harold, what's your beef? Go on now, tell me. " he told me knowing that I had to talk about it eventually.

"It's just. I didn't prepare myself for the paps this afternoon and I didn't exactly prepare Ashlynn..but when it all happened. I just left her there to fend for herself. " I said to him.

"Yeah..even in the office you were avoiding her a bit." he told me reminding me that I didn't even hug her when they told me about Don loving her pictures. I didn't even respond. She must think I am such a dick.

"Ah shit." Lou said pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked at him now staring at his phone.

"What? What is it?" I asked him hoping Ash and El were ohkay.

" Check your phone mate." he told me. I ran to the living room looking for my phone, grabbing it to see an e-mail from Simon.

Simon: Hey boys, sorry for the last minute update. You all have a promo event in NYC tomorrow afternoon at 1PM. Your flight will leave at 8AM tomorrow. Get rested. We will be back tomorrow right after your appearance then you are all free for a bit.
Harry: We need you for a PR stunt. Be ready.
The rest of you: Please be on your best behavior.

" You've got to be kidding me right now." I said to myself totally frustrated.

"Gotta do it man. Job comes first, member? We will back in time. Don't worry, besides Ashlynn's birthday is a whole weekend. It'll be good! " he said to me trying to make everything ohkay but this did not make much of anything ohkay.

What kind of PR stunt did they need me to be apart of? I hated when management did this and I hate that I was always the one who had to be involved in it.

Ashlynn's POV.


I had changed into my pajamas when I heard someone knock on the door. A part of me wanted it to be Harry but the other part of me wanted it to be the pizza I had just ordered! I opened the door to see Eleanor!

"Hey!" she said to me.

"Oh hi" I said with lack of joy.

"Geez don't seem so excited" she said noticing my moodiness.

"Sorry I was just disappointed when I opened the door to see you instead of my pizza." i said to her with total honesty!

"You ordered a pizza?! GOD I LOVE YOU!" she said to me causing me to laugh.

She walked in to sit on the blue couch that we had picked out together. "What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Well...I thought I could help you pack for your birthday weekend and we could celebrate your promotion!" she said to me with a bit of a secret motive..

"El..what happened?" I asked her hoping she would be honest with me.

"Well I got in a an argument with the boys when you got out of the car and kind of made a scene...so yeah." she said ..and now the truth comes out.

"That's what I thought."I said to her laughing. "What about?" I continued to ask her.

"Oh, nothing really. They just don't like hearing how seriously stupid they are. It's all good! " she said smiling reassuring me that I really had nothing to worry about.

"So this weekend..."I said changing the subject. "what all do I need to pack?" I asked her.

"Hmm. Well can I just tell you what we are doing and you can judge on all what you need?PLEASE I HATE KEEPING SECRETS!" she said now begging me. I nodded at her giving her full permission to tell me.

" We are going to the LAKE for 3 DAYS!!!!." she screamed seriously so excited! I don't know how she knew. But I loved the lake so much. Growing up when my family was normal we used to go their all the time. I was now so excited.

Eleanor and I went to my room to pack my suit case with bathing suits, cover ups, jean shorts, tank tops, and pajamas. Eleanor was such a great friend. She was one of those people who constantly went out of their way for someone and in my life I had always been that person I had never had anyone who was like that for me and it was such a good feeling!
I looked up at her from my spot in front of my suitcase to see her face turn angry when she picked her phone up.

"What's wrong El?" I asked her hoping everything was fine but really knowing it wasn't.

" The boys...they have to go to New York tomorrow morning. They have some promo stuff that they have to take care of. They should be back in time though for your birthday." she said to me with a half smile.

" That's good..why the long face then?" I asked her.

"It's nothing really..it's just that anytime I plan something and have these plans made for a while it never fails that Simon ruins them. It just gets really aggravating is all. Nothing I didn't sign up for though with dating Lou. " she said her last words sticking with me. What was I signing up for when deciding to date Harry? What was I in for?

My phone then vibrated and I gave my attention to it.

Harry: I'm sure El already told you. Gotta go to NYC for band stuff tomorrow. Should be back in time for your B-day.

I read his text a bit disappointed with the lack of love and effort he put into it. I decided two could play this game.

Me: K. Have fun.

Harry: You ok?

Me: IDK you tell me.

Harry: We need to talk about what happened tonight when I get back.

Me: Trust me. I know.

With the last text I sent him I could feel my blood boil. I set my phone down to only have Eleanor then grab it.

"WOW ASH, FEISTY! WAY TO STICK IT TO HIM!! HE DESERVED THAT!" she shouted causing me to laugh yet again.

"He just is so frustrating...Like today with the paps, he didn't even walk with me. He didn't even snap back when they were saying all those mean things...I know that's not his job and I need to ignore it but seriously...atleast ask me if I'm ohkay. Cause I wasn't ohkay. It's like we take 2 steps forward, 3 steps back." I said to her now able to breathe again relieved that I had gotten everything off of my chest.

"Feel better?" Eleanor asked now crawling into my bed.

"So much better" i said now doing the same thing.

We had such an exhausting day, but at the end of it I was so glad to have a friend like her in my life.
