Ashlynn's POV

A part of me knew this would all happen eventually, I just never knew it would happen so quickly. I didn't even think that I was going to get the job. But I did; and I was pumped. I think packing was the easiest part of all of it;The leaving process. The hardest part was saying goodbye to Shelly and Jayci and my older sister Marie..the second hardest part was saying goodbye to my parents and my jeep. If you would have asked me a year ago what the hardest part about moving would be I would of told you " well leaving my parents of course". Not so much anymore, after their divorce was finalized 8 months ago I am constantly being dragged into every argument they have and I am more than relieved to be getting away from that; although I will miss them I know this is what is best for me right now. I deserved to do what was best for me - I owed it to myself. It's time to be happy again.

" OK, so you have your passport, your wallet, the flight information,..." my mom rambled on about everything I needed like I didn't already know. She was just going on so she could delay me for making it to my plane in time because she was going to miss me.

I hugged her goodbye and continued to say " I promise I'll call you everyday and send you pictures of everything, but I have to go now! I'm boarding."

and that was enough to send her over the edge...balling. " I am going to miss you my sunshine, I am so proud of you, I love you "

" I love you too Mommy, I'll call you when I land" I said confidently with tears threatening my eyes. I picked up my carry on and turned away walking to my gate.

I was starting something new and I was excited but I was also freaking out.
