Late

I lay in the bed. My eyes get as heavy as the rain falling. I yuan and turn my weak body to the dark, bare, lonely hallway.
I close my eyes and rest.

Mom sits in the chair across from me.
"Dinner is ready!" Dad shouts
"coming" I yell running in the kitchen
the kitchen was filled with delicious food! He had cool a hole ham with an apple in its mouth, apply pie, hot tea in the pot, cooked carrots, green beans, chowder, and pasta.
"oh father, this all looks so good"
" it will be"
" I love you"
"I love you more"
mother walks in
"Lucy meet me outside"
"ok, sorry father, I'm going with mom. Don't worry I will be back to eat"
he nods his head and I run out with mom.
"Yes?"
"Just sit here, on the porch"
"why?"
"to watch the fireflys"
"we can see them anytime"
"but you may never have the same moment with me. Just sit here and sit with me. Let's be alone together. Mommy and daughter"
all of a sudden the fire flys come close to my eyes. They get brighter… and brighter…
