Batman Fanfics

Commissioner Gordon's POV: I wake up to Bonnie shaking me awake. "Huh? What happened?" I asked. "You passed out, sir." She responded, clearly concerned. "It's okay, I feel better." I stand up, leaning on my desk for support. I see the book. "Throw that thing out, will you?" I ask. Bonnie puts the book in the box and throws it in the trash can. "Are you sure you're okay, sir?" She asked. "Yes, yes." I said, and Bonnie left my office. My phone then rings. At first I was afraid to answer, but I did. "Gordon, ya need to come to Gotham Art Museum. It's bad." I hear Bullock say. I run out of my office, and hop into my police car. Once I reach Gotham Art Museum, I see Batman, Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl fighting very violently with a group of villains. Bullock rushes over to me. "We need ta' stop them, sir, or they're gonna kill each other." Bullock explained. I didn't recognize anyone the Bat Family was fighting, which was odd. That's when I see it. One guy came and shoved Batgirl towards the edge of the building. She was kicking, and punching, but the guy pushed her over with ease. Everybody just froze as Batgirl screamed her way down. THUD. She landed on the concrete. I ran over to the girl, who somehow managed to live. "Batgirl? Don't worry, we'll get an ambulance. Someone call an ambulance!" I yelled. "D-D-D" She tried to talk. "Shh, you'll be okay, don't try to talk." I said, the panic reaching my voice. "Dad." She managed to say. I stopped. Did shd say 'Dad'? I pulled off her mask, and saw her identity. "Oh God, Barbara!" I yelled. "Ambulance! Ambulance! Someone get the ambulance! My daughter! My daughter! My daugh..," She fell limp in my hands. I knew she was dead. Batman came down the building. "You knew who she was, and you didn't tell me. I'm her own father for damn sake!" I yelled, but never looked up. "Jim. I couldn't predict that this would happen." He said. "But she was my daughter. My daughter. My only daughter." I cried. "Batman, you are under arrest" Harvey screamed, but Batman shot up the building, and him, Robin, and Nightwing left. They took Barbara's body away from me. "Go home, Commissioner. We'll find them, so just go home and rest." Renee said. "Yes. I think I will go home." I said numbly. I hopped in my cop car and drove to Barbara's apartment. I opened the door, and found her laptop.

Bruce Wayne's POV: Dick, Tim, and I all sat in the Batcave mourning the loss of Barbara. "We should of done something. I could've covered her! " Dick cried. Alfred came down. "Phone, sir." Alfred said, and handed me the phone. "Wayne." The voice said, I recognized it as Commissioner Gordon's. "Oh, Commissioner, what can I do for you?" I asked. "Give it up, Wayne. I know you're Batman. A few minutes on Barbara's computer told me everything. The entire police force is coming to your house. There is no escape. Just give up, it's over." He said. I dropped the phone. "We have to get out. Now!" I screamed. We all took off, but as we were leaving, we heard the cops bust in. I knew we could never return.
