Noelle's POV
After my awkward encounter with Harry I went home and got a good papering. I took a nice long bath with a facial mask which made my skin glow. I then changed into my pajama's . I then proceeded to watch The Last Song and paint my nails a beautiful maroon color.
"I'm going to sleep now Noelle, don't stay up to late dear" my nan said smiling.
I really needed this pampering, i've been stressed all week with homework, projects and now Secret Santa.
I wonder who Harry got. I know I'm "over him" but I always think about him. I can't stop myself. We fell in love quickly and it felt so right to love him, but when he broke my heart at the dance...that crossed the line. I never want to feel that way ever again. Ever.
FLASHBACK
"How do I look nan?" I askedspinning around in my dress.
"Beautiful as always Noelle." she replied smiling. Me and my grandmother are super close. Since my parents travel a lot for their teen workshops, my nan is like one of my parents.
"Alright, well I'm off to Bingo, so have a nice night at the dance! Be safe deary." she said kissing me.
"Don't worry nan, I will." I replied as she left.
I looked at the clock and I still have 30 minutes before Eleanor and Danielle would arrive. Danielle is bringing Liam and Eleanor is bringing Niall, as a friend not a date.
I ran upstairs and finished packing my matching clutch. I felt my phone vibrate and opened up the message. It was from Harry, the boy I'm madly in love with.

Noelle, we need to talk.
To Harry
Okay, I'll be at the dance soon, we can talk when I get there :)

Meet me outside on the balcony at 11:00pm exactly.
To Harry
Okay :) See Ya There! This is going to be so much fun!

Weird. Yesterday we were texting non stop and now he's giving me brief short messages.
*BRING*
I ran downstairs and opened the door. My friends were standing there looking amazing. Liam and Niall were in tux's and Eleanor and Danielle had on the prettiest dresses ever.
"Ready?" asked El.
"As ready as i've ever been." I replied locking my front door.
Niall and Liam asked their dad's to borrow their cars for the night. Even though they didn't have their full drivers licences last year, it was late and they were safe drivers so their dad's agreed.
Me and Eleanor went with Niall and Danielle went with Liam.
"So...you and Harry?" asked Niall
"What about us?" I replied
"ITS SO OBVIOUS THAT HE LIKES YOU!" yelled El turning around from the front seat to face me.
"Shut up! He does not!" I replied smiling a little.
"YOU'RE BLUSHING YOU LIKE HIM TOO!" El screamed again
"Goddamit El, do you want me to crash?" asked Niall making me laugh
"Sorry, but you gotta agree, he so likes her." she said turning back to the front.
"I agree with El, but remember Harry tends to fuck shit up. He's one of my best friends, but don't expect too much from him Noelle, I don't want to see you get hurt." Niall said calmly.
"Don't worry about it, it's all under control." I replied. He mumbled something but I didn't hear.
We pulled up to the dance venue and it was amazing. It was an old castle that had been transformed on the inside just for our dance. I looked at the time and it was 10:45pm. I quickly grabbed a drink and started to look around for the balcony. I found some stairs and decided to go with it.
I checked my phone again and it was 10:59pm. Shit, I'm a slow walker. I was running about frantically opening doors on the second floor until I finally found a see though door that lead outside, with a handsome boy standing there. I opened the door and Harry turned around.
"Hey stranger." I said smiling. It was actually really chilly outside considering it was winter.
"Hi." he replied dryly. What's his deal?
"What's wrong? You never act like this." I said standing next to him.
"Isn't it beautiful?" he asked.
I looked across at the scenery. You could see hills covered in snow and the moon gave it a shimmery glow.
"It's breathtaking." I replied leaning on the railing like Harry.
"It really is." he replied. I turned my head and he staring at me. I couldn't help but blush, but it was cold outside, so my cheeks were probably cherry red by now.
"Noelle. I-" he was about to speak when Aaryn came in. She looked so slutty in her dress. Its fucking winter, cover up your stomach you whore.
"Aaryn can you come back later?" I asked as politely as I could. She had to leave, Harry was about to ask me out. I just know it.
"No actually, they're about to announce the King and Queen." she said smiling.
"We will be down in-" Harry tried to speak again but she cut him off.
"Harry, as my boyfriend I need you there." she said smirking at me. Then she leaned in and kissed him.
I felt like my heart was shattering into a million pieces. H-how could he? I thought he cared. I THOUGHT HE ACTUALLY LIKED ME! I'M SO FUCKING STUPID.
"Um, Noelle I-" Harry tried speaking for the third time but it was me who cut him off this time.
"No Harry, sorry for taking you away from your kingdom. You look nice Aaryn, have a nice night." I said before walking out of the balcony. The second I did, tears were streaming down my face.
I went to the dance floor and found Eleanor.
"Can we go?" I asked wiping mascara off from under my eyes.
"What the fuck happened baby?" she said hugging me.
"I'll tell you later but-"
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, NOW YOUR KING AND QUEEN!" the headmaster announced. Oh no.
"THE QUEEN..............AARYN SAMUALS!" the crowd cheered and I felt like I was about to pass out or throw up.
"AND YOUR KING!"
"Lets go." El said grabbing my hand heading towards the exit.
"HARRY STYLES!" once again the crowed cheered.
"Now a word from your winter dance's king and queen." said the headmaster.
"I just wanna say thanks for voting the hottest couple at school for this. Love you all! Kisses!" Aaryn said through the mic. Then she kissed him. The crowd cheered and I cried harder.
Niall ran up to us and he looked worried.
"Noelle I'm so-"
"No Niall, it's not your fault. It's not Harry's either. It's mine." I said.
"No he shouldn't have done that." Niall said shaking his head and looking at Eleanor.
"Can we just go?" I asked
"Of course." Niall replied.
We were driving home and I realized how selfish I was being. What if Eleanor and Niall were enjoying their night, I ruined it for them!
"You guys can go back you know." I said smiling a little.
"Fuck em, I was having a shit time. Running between you gals and the guys is more work than I thought." Niall said laughing.
"Yeah, and watching Louis grind with every single slut isn't exactly my type of scene. He's such a scum bag." she said rolling her eyes.
"Cmon' not while I'm here. He's still my mate!" Niall said poking her.
"Sorry...but it's true." she said looking back at me.
Niall dropped me off and we had a big group hug.
"Thank you guys!" I said through the window.
"Anytime." Eleanor replied.
I said my goodbyes and walked into the house.
"You're back early. How was it?" asked nan. She had a giant smile on so I played it off fine.
"Great, thanks. I'm going to sleep now nan." I said smiling.
"Okay deary, have a good sleep." she replied
When I got into my room I instantly shoved my ear buds in and broke down. Harry broke my heart.
