Almost Lover

"Alright I'm on my way." I said as i hung up the phone on my best friend, Liam. I haven't hung out with him in forever, so I'm glad we have time together downtown just the two of us. I cross the bridge to get to my destination and see Liam and two other people walking the bridge. Who are those two people? It was just supposed to be the two of us! Oh God that better not be who i think it is... Oh well I don't mind Ed sheeran but the other... Nick Grimshaw. The same old Nick Grimshaw hat thinks he's so cool because he is an ex pothead that tries to witness to people about how drugs are 'oh so bad for you' yet he still does them? The one that likes to start rumours and talk shit on people they don't even know? Oh yeah that's him alright. But Ed I actually really like. He is one of those people that is really quiet when you first meet them but then as you get to know them they kind of open up and end up being fucking hilarious? Yeah that's Ed alright.
"Ok mum you can just leave me off here they're almost to the end of the bridge I'll meet up with them" I quickly said and shuffled out the door while my mother barely stopped at the end of the bridge. I had on skinny jeans, a diamond supply co. hoodie, beanie, and galaxy vans. I looked fucking awesome. Everyone else had trendier looking outfits on though and so now I'm here like fuck you...
"Louis! Dude I missed you man been forever since we chilled how's it been bro?"
What in the absolute hell? Liam doesn't talk like this at all. He is just trying to be cool for Nick oh today should be fun.
"Hey um what happened to it just being us?" I wasn't trying to be rude. Well not to Ed at least. But i had to ask Liam what made him think it would be ok to invite people to chill with us especially one person he knows I fucking despise.
"Oh, well, I stayed the night at Ed's house last night and Nick kinda called and wanted to know if he could crash so I kinda went with it. I didn't think it would be such a big deal dude."
"It's not a big deal. I don't really care. Who wants to go to Yoyo's I've been craving frozen yogurt for a week."
We walked to the yogurt place, got some amazing yogurt that tastes like it was made by God himself, and walked on to The Lollipop Shop because Nick wanted come sour patch kids.
The great part of downtown is that it is so packed and everything is so close together. But it is never too packed with people unless there is an event going on.Anyway everything is all in walking distance and I love it.
Across the walkway from The Lollipop Shop is my favorite coffee shop Common Grounds and as we were walking out of The Lollipop Shop to go to the heavenly ground of mochas, Liam's ex boyfriends walks out of the shop. Chandler O'brian is his name and playing guys and being a dickhead is his game. He is now denying the fact that him and Liam ever dated like really? He i such an ass. Just after Chandler walks out he walks up to our group and greets us .
"Oh hey guys haven't seen you in a while what's up?" I can see Liam's face getting red with embarrassment and anger. I start to pass Chandler and walk in with Liam but just then someone walk out of the coffee shop.
"Bus buddy! Hey!" Oh my fucking god. Harry Styles. He remembers me? Oh shit I hope I don't make a fool out of myself now.
"Hey Harry." I said blandly. Trying not to sound uninterested but also not too excited. Although on the inside I'm shitting my pants. Figuratively of course. He comes down and hugs me tightly the high fives Liam, Ed, and Nick.
"I don't know about you guys but i want to go swing anyone? Louis?" Harry said with a cheeky grin.
"Harry hold up Allyson, Brandon, and Chase are still in Common Grounds I'll go get them you guys go ahead." Chandler said as he ran into the shop.
We all started walking towards one of the swinging benches that look out onto the waterfront.
We chose a bench and we already knew we couldn't all fit. But we didn't care we tried anyway.
"I guess we need to lap up guys." Harry chuckled.
"You can sit on my lap Harry it's all good." Nick snickered. No. Nick is a total manwhore. But he is also really attractive...
"Well Louis is like right here so I got this." Harry sat on my lap and I tried so hard not to freak out even though I knew I was turning bright red.
After about two hours of chit chatting, joking, and listening to music, soon enough Allyson, Chandler, Liam, Ed, and Chase end up on one bench and Harry, Brandon, and I end up on another. I don't really know Brandon all I know is that I've seen him around town.
"So Louis, why are you friends with Liam? I mean he's not ugly but he's nothing compared to you. You're like gorgeous and he's like... Eh." I didn't really know how to take harry's comment. I always thought Liam was so much better looking than me. Not only that, but Harry just said I was gorgeous. I did what I had to do.
"Liam is way better looking than I am but it doesn't matter what he looks like. If we are going with this rule why are you friends with Chandler? You look like you could model and he looks like a redneck version of Robbie Williams."
"Chandler is my cousin." Oh shit nigga. I got a horrible pain in my chest and realized I just insulted Harry's family. Not ok. But obviously it was ok because Harry began to crack up.
"He is a bit goofy looking isn't he? But I couldn't model are you nuts? I don't have the looks for that."
"My ass!"
"Is huge and I like it." Well that was pretty straight forward Harry um... Is that supposed to be taken as a compliment, a joke, what?
"Um thanks?" I said not knowing what else to say.
"Oh sorry didn't mean to freak you out I'm just messing with you."
"Oh ok haha." Why am I so nervous?
We finally started to leave downtown and go home but before I left Harry came up and hugged me for what felt like 10 years. I have no idea why but the feeling of his touch is incredible.
